“Beachside Resort in Cape Cod” First of all, we loved the area in East Sandwich and really enjoyed the access to the private beach. The cottage was cozy and well equipped with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The cottage sits behind 2 other cottages so the view of the beach/ocean is blocked from indoors...but the weather was fantastic and with children...you can't just sit indoors...you've got to go out and be a part of nature. This was the lovely aspect of our holiday!

“Great for a family vacation” This was our third year renting this property and as usual had a great time. The cottage was very clean with a lot of nice touches.The fans and air conditioner in the bedrooms made for a comfortable night of sleeping.(The week we stayed was rather humid). The location was great. We look forward to next year.

“Great vacation house!” We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. The inside of this house was wonderful, recently renovated, perfectly decorated for a great vacation at the beach. It had all the amenities that we were looking for (washer & dryer, a/c and internet access), plus it was just a great house. We are a family of 4, and both kids loved having their own room with lots of space. The location was great as far as being close to everything. We walked across the street to Hemisphere restaurant for dinner, over to the canal for long walks. Seafood Sams and the Fish Market are very close. All within walking distance. Downtown shopping is just a short drive away too. The only downfall for us was the beach. The closest beach (right across the street) is a very rocky public beach, so if you're used to private, sandy beaches, this may not be the best place for you. But... you can always drive to better beaches, which we ended up doing several times. All in all, a terrific experience.

“Great Little Cottage” The cottage was impecable. Had a great location. Was just the right size for me and my two young boys. We could sit back and relax or do the touristy thing. I only wish there had been an outdoor shower, but the hose worked well enough! We did have to figure out for ourselves how to get to the beach. Everyone in the "neighborhood" was friendly. My boys said it was "kind of like camping, but way better". We had a great time and plan on returning next year.

“Great Get-away” Staying at this location has been one of the greatest things we have done for ourselves. So restful, and relaxing -Watching the water. Town of Sandwich so convienient for all your needs. This cottage is so clean and comfortable. The owner is very accomodating to make sure your stay is at it's best.

“Wonderful Beach” We have rented this location for the last five years and have enjoyed the experience immensley. The cottage is spacious, clean and comfortable. The bonus of washer and dryer makes vacationing more convenient. The only issues I have concerns some of the fixtures being older and in disrepair. The awnings outside need repair as well as some windows and the tile around the bathtub appear to be loose. These are only minor issues and did not effect the quality of our vacation. I would recommend this location to anyone interested in vacationing on the Cape.

“Cute house, beautiful lot” The house was very clean & cozy. The kitchen & bathroom were a bit small but we managed just fine. The lot is very big & well maintained. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate. The house was also in a very good location with grocery & other stores were very close. Also just a very short walk to the beach (2 min) & a really good restaurant. The area was quiet. I would recommend this property for a couple but it might be a bit tight for more than 2 people. The fully fenced yard was greatly appreciated as we were concerned about our dogs getting out of the yard. Overall, nice place, reasonable price for off season but might be a bit too much in the peak season. Thanks so much for letting us stay at your cottage.

“The Perfect Family Christmas” My family was looking for a place to spend Christmas with a new baby, and we found the perfect spot. Ten people, plus a baby, fit comfortably at this beautiful, well-kept home. The area is gorgeous, and the house is on a quiet road that ends at a private beach. There's also a tennis court, which it was too cold to use, but would be nice in the summer. The house is surrounded by trees, and the furniture is comfortable, not fussy at all. It was the perfect place to have a nice, relaxing, New England Christmas with the whole family.

“Comfortable” Comfortable house but outdated. Really needed internet service but their was no modem, so we wasted some time looking, and then contacting your office and waiting for a response and then a modem.

“a lovely place” We had a lovely time at this cottage. My 2 year old daughter cried when our week was up and she still asks to go to the beach cottage. The screened porch was our favorite and if only the weather cooperated it would have been perfect. The only downside was that my husband found the mattresses to be too hard for him. But otherwise it's been the nicest cottage we've ever stayed in. Highly recommend walking about 10 minutes to the left on the beach towards the rocks where the kids can go crabbing. We caught and released 6 crabs in two days.

“Honeymoon in Cape Cod” I rented this house for my son and his new wife for their honeymoon. They said they had a fantastic time and that the house and location were just perfect. As a chef, my son was very happy to be able to cook lobsters in the pot provided. While they have not had time since their return to complete this review, I just wanted to let you know that I found the renting process very easy and I am told the staff at Sand Dollar were lovely and easy to deal with. My deposit was returned on time also! We will definitely rent with Sand Dollar again. Thank you very much. Gina Lopez
