Private, quiet, Alamkita's 2 bungalows are 15 minutes to center of town, located on a river off Jl. Godean just west of Ring Road surrounded by trees and stunning rice field views with fresh-water swimming pool. Perfect for short or long-term stays.

If you are single or a couple; a consultant, here on business, a writer, or work for an NGO or university for short or longer-term stay in Yogya, you'll appreciate our relaxing, peaceful privacy, natural surroundings and close access to the city.

Alamkita is also perfect for tourists or your house guests who are looking for a quiet place to come back to after a day of sightseeing.

Situated on a bluff above the river, surrounded by bamboo groves and towering trees, looking out over lush green rice fields and small fish ponds below, you'll enjoy beautiful views from your private balcony - after taking a refreshing dip in the fresh water swimming pool.

Alamkita means "our natural world" and is a small private homestay designed and built by us with two separate bungalows located right on the river at the edge of a Javanese village. The soothing sound of water flowing over the dam is a constant background symphony. Only a 15-minute drive from the city center of Malioboro, we're located just past the west Ring Road off Jl. Godean.

About the Bungalow

Bungalow Teduh - ( means shady, shelter )

Your bungalow is nestled into the side of the hill with many windows to open to your river, paddy field and swimming pool views. Natural ventilation keeps you cool even on the hottest days. The bungalow is spacious, light, open and airy. You'll sleep soundly on your kind sized spring bed mattress under a gauzy mosquito net.

- Private terrace with table and chairs

- Western style bathroom with natural sandstone counter top, western toilet, hot and cold water shower and Indonesian style mandi if you prefer

- Fully equipped kitchen - Major supermarket is 1 km away with a traditional Javanese market even closer.

- Covered veranda with dining table and lounge area overlooking the pool.

Why can't I call Kelik (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Kelik (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
