Be sure to take a peek at our other listing too! We lost the original cabin in the 2016 fire, and our new custom home is designed to take full advantage of Gatlinburg's best city and mountain view! We opened August 2018 and guests have already given the home 25 consecutive 5-star review across our listings. https://www.flipkey.com/properties/6696951/
Embracing View has now received over 50 consecutive 5-star reviews across our listings! Thanks to our guests and to our amazing housekeepers!
We were looking for the perfect property, and it is hard to believe that solitude and beauty like this can be only 18 minutes from the strip in Pigeon Forge and 10 minutes from Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Cabins on this street get five star reviews for their views. Embracing View has that view plus, being on the ridge top, a second view just as good in the opposite direction!!! It's like a ten star view! Sit on the front porch to watch the sunrise over Cove Mountain and Wears Valley and the back porch to watch the sunset over Bluff Mountain and the many ridges towards the horizon.
We chose the name Embracing View because the cabin feels like a warm hug... country charm inside and on the porches, lush landscaping and lots of green around the home, and the gorgeous panoramic views. Guests have rated this cabin as perfect with 33 five star reviews in recent years. The most common reasons were the beauty of the views and the property, being surrounded by nature, and the location, far from the crowds yet just a short drive to attractions, restaurants, and shopping. If your goal is to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature and the mountains, this is the place!
The best feature of the house is the decks, which are a front row seat to big views all around. The main floor has a large wrap-around deck, and the upper floor has porches facing each view. The views never stop changing from dawn to dusk, with the sunrise and sunset, fog, wisps of smoke, and weather blowing through. One guest said that the upper porch facing the sunrise is the best place in the world they have ever sat and enjoyed a cup of coffee, watching as the fog burns off of the valley floor.
The main floor features the kitchen, dining room, living room, and a master suite (king bed) with attached bath, featuring a whirlpool bathtub with an amazing view. Most every part of the house has a view out a window or door somewhere.
The upper floor has a private bedroom with king bed, a den that is set up as a bedroom (queen bed), and a loft with a sofa bed. The floor sleeps six total and has a central bathroom with shower.
The lower level is a game room with big TV, pool table, foosball table, and arcade to keep the kids (little ones and grown up ones too) busy. One end of this level is set up as a bedroom (queen) with adjacent bathroom. This bedroom can be private from the other floors, or you can fold out the two futons in the TV area and sleep four more people. Parents with up to four kids or a group of six kids would enjoy this space.
Three couples can stay in Embracing View and each have their own floor with bedroom and bathroom for complete privacy, a popular option for couples retreats.
There are 5 hi def flat screen TVs: game room (lower), living room and private bedroom (main), private bedroom and den (upper). We have DirecTV with Genie so that you can record sporting events, movies, or shows while you are away and then watch them when you like. Wi-fi also enables you to stay connected and stream content.
We are proud to say that both Embracing View and Sensational View are multi-year Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence award winners. We want every family coming to our place to enjoy their stay and their whole vacation, as some the best family times we have enjoyed have been our trips to the Smokies. We will be delighted to talk with you, get to know you, and help you get the most out of your trip!
Area services: Kroger, Publix and IGA supermarkets within 20 minutes. General store just minutes away at the bottom of the mountain. Swimming is available in the summer at Huckleberry Meadows, less than ten minutes away. Everything else you could want is 20-30 minutes away in Pigeon Forge, including restaurants, dinner theaters, mini golf, go karts, golf, and the Pigeon Forge community center.
Parking for four cars is easy, up to six or seven if you squeeze. There is a turnaround area at the top of the driveway to ease getting in and out. The final half mile up to the cabin is narrow and windy, but most guests are quite comfortable with it after driving up and down a couple times. All wheel drive or four wheel drive is recommended in the winter, as weather can be unpredictable.
