The Orée du Maïdo is a haven of peace in lush greenery. This delightful tourist furnished 3 stars of 35m ², combines charm and modernity to offer you absolute comfort and true moments of tranquility. The stone and the wood agree to provide a cozy atmosphere to your stay. A bathroom with granite bath open to the room gives access to a nice garden privatized. A living room separate from the sleeping area with fitted kitchen area also gives on the outside, both garden side and spa side. The solid parquet floor, the walls stucco-marbled and the decoration of your accommodation create a perfect harmony. Take full advantage of the access to the rooftop terrace to perfect your tan during the day and admire beautiful sunsets while having your aperitif. Escape while savoring a few moments of relaxation in the outdoor Jacuzzi, in the sun or under a starry sky that matters, let yourself go to zenitude. Ideally located between sea and mountains and nestled in the heart of the village of Guillaume at 600 m altitude to the west of the island, you can enjoy the charm and freshness of high in summer. Halfway (less than 20 minutes by car) between the beaches of the West and the peak Maïdo (from where begin the main hiking trails in the circus of Mafate), you can easily vary the pleasures. It is therefore not uncommon to go for a walk in the mountains or in the forest in the morning and to be at lunch for lunch at the edge of the lagoon and enjoy a relaxing afternoon on the hot sand. We are also located halfway between the 2 main cities (St Denis in the North and St Pierre in the South - about 30 minutes) for your purchases but also 15 minutes from St Gilles-les-Bains, seaside resort of the island, from its marina and from its numerous bars and restaurants by the sea. How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Christophe (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
