Description

Leisure Place sits at the very edge of the African continent in a secure nature conservancy area. On the south coast of Kwa Zulu Natal, this is a very special place which will suit the most discerning of tastes.

Here the roaring ocean breakers roll in from the deep - to crack onto the rocks so close you can sometimes feel the misty spray on your face at high tide.

Once past you, they rush onto the sands of Peter Pan's cove - one of arguably the best swimming and surfing beaches, complete with shark nets on the Kwa Zulu Natal coast.

Here the concept of "Oceans of Sleep " is yours for the taking.
Smell the rich closeness of the ocean wafting into your room through the open glass doors.

Enjoy our spacious suites, King sized beds, pillow-topped mattresses, feather light and fluffy duck down duvets and bespoke, crisp-white linen, expertly cut and tucked from pure Egyptian cotton.

Location description from owner

The KwaZulu-Natal region

Leisure Bay is on the Hibsicus Coast, South of Durban in Kwa Zulu Natal, South Africa.

The Best beaches, the softest sand and the biggest breakers make this part of South Africa an absolute must to experience.

The famous Wild Coast starts here with its magnificent breakers, its views and cliffs, its fossils and its shipwrecks... and its great surfing waves and fishing spots.

Unspoilt but offering all amenities for visitors, this is a part of South African which the tourists have yet to discover...although many that did, came from Europe, and just stayed....

Leisure Bay, Margate

Leisure Bay is south of DURBAN, and to get there you can travel straight down the south coast along a modern and magnificent freeway.

Leisure Bay is a quaint little town, close to all shops and amenities, in a conservancy area offering sightings of exotic birds, wildlife, and exotic indigenous plants and trees. Its beaches have soft white sand, its rock pools are flooded with coral, small fish, tiny crabs, crayfish and mussels, whilst wild oysters cling to the ancient rocks as the tide washes over them. Further down the beach ancient fossilised trees can be found.

This area offers every conceivable amenity, from crafts to horse riding on the beach, from restaurants to outlets selling stylish home made jams and foods, from crocodile farms to butterfly farms, from upmarket casinos and restaurants to romantic walks along the beach.

Only 1,5 hours from Durban's King Shaka international airport, and just 15 minutes from the Margate regional airport which has car rental on tap, this area is now easily accessible via both a Johannesburg connection (Oliver Tambo international airport) and via Durban.
