If you are looking for a beautiful, quiet place in the heart of Israel, the Judean Hills Pearl is for you. The Judean Hills Pearl is conveniently located in Kfar Uriya, a small village combining a scenic, tranquil setting with a central location: halfway between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv (only 35 minutes away to each) and 25 minutes away from Ben Gurion Airport. Located on a hilltop overlooking pine forests, vines and fields of the Judean hills, the Judean Hills Pearl (elevation 250 meters / 800 feet) offers some of the best scenery in Israel. On a clear day one can see the coastal line from south of Ashdod to north of Tel Aviv.
The 2-room apartment is accessible from the adjacent parking lot (without use of stairs) through a private entrance. It is 30 square meters large and has a beautiful 30 square meter northern balcony offering amazing open views in all directions. Ideally configured for a couple with two kids, it offers comfortably and tastefully furnished rooms (a bedroom and a smaller living room, which doubles as an additional bedroom), a bathroom (with hairdryer and washing & drying machines) and a fully equipped kitchenette. The entire apartment is fully air-conditioned and features under-floor heating, cable TV, ironing facilities and free wireless internet connection. Dining tables are provided both in the apartment and on the balcony. Prices include free coffee and tea and self-catered breakfast (including milk, cereals, yogurt, cheese, eggs, vegetables and jam). The owners are very friendly and multilingual (English, French, German, Romanian, a bit of Russian and Hebrew) and would be happy to provide information and lend books to those interested in spending their time reading and enjoying the view. In the village itself you can find a grocery, a synagogue, a post office, playing courts for children, a horse riding school and a boutique winery.
The Judean Hills Pearl serves as an ideal base for day trips throughout the entire year. Nearby attractions include, among others, the Judean Wine Route, archaeological sites, forests, national parks, the famous Stalactite Cave, the Valley of Elah (David and Goliath), Mini Israel, the monastery and the Armored Corps museum at Latrun, as well as the Beit Guvrin caves. In the immediate surroundings are some of the most popular hiking and biking trails in Israel. The fine Mediterranean beaches of Ashdod, Rishon Le Zion, Bat Yam, Jaffa and Tel Aviv as well as the attractions of Tel Aviv and Jerusalem are only 30 minutes away. There is an open swimming pool 5 minutes away and a number of restaurants are only 10 to 30 minutes away.
