Description

This typical African style cottage is overlooking the river Nile and located only a few kilometers from the Source of the Nile. It is 5 km from the second biggest town in Uganda, Jinja which is often called the adventure capital in East Africa. And it is 80 km from the capital city Kampala. The gardens have at least 75 different types of birds and when you walk down to the river there are great spots for fishing. An ideal place for people who love nature, quiet and "the african feel". The cottage has a back up solar powered in case of power cuts and there is solar powered hot water.On the same compound is a double self contained room, ideal for families who want to go on a holiday together and still have their own privacy. The cottage is also used as an overflow for a christian retreat centre next door. The swimming pool is shared with guests from the retreat centre.The house is self catering and the nearest supermarket is 5 km away in Jinja town.

The property is 5 km from the second biggest town in Uganda, Jinja. The town is also called 'the adventure capital of East Africa with many tourist attractions. You can go rafting on the mighty river Nile. There is a Kayak school, rain forest walks or a visit to the famous Source of the Nile.

Enjoy the birds giving you a private concert at breakfast and see the monkeys jumping in the trees. Walk down to the river and find a spot to catch fish or for the courageous one, to take a swim in the river.
