Location description from owner

The Prachuap Khiri Khan Province region

A dry mainly rural area with beautiful long quiet beaches and Sam Roi Yod National Park, with its river(fishermans boat trips),caves, wildlife, visitors centre and great beaches, 10 kms away. Nearby large towns include Petchaburi, Cha-Am, Hua Hin and south to Prachuabkirikhan. Pranburi-app 8 kms/15 mins- is a major market town (with Tesco and Makro Superstores!!) south of Hua Hin. The Thai King has his summer palace at Hua Hin, which is highly regarded by Thais and visitors alike.

Hua Hin

Khao Kalok is respected for its beautiful long peaceful beaches and local fishing village of Pak Nam Pran where you can still experience real Thailand. Small boutique hotels, private properties, many varied restaurants and kite boarding centre line the 7km beach, where the sunrise is wonderful. An early morning cycle, beach walk or coffee is something to be treasured. National Parks-with caves,waterfalls,rivers,beaches-are nearby and children especially enjoy a river trip from Pak Nam Pran to see the mango swamp park and river wildlife-maybe a Monitor Lizard!! Several local Temples attract visitors, especially the local fisherman's temple with its fantastic views over the whole area.Low key watersports, quad biking, fishing trips and several golf courses are available and those wanting to see the local way of life may well experience a wedding or other family/temple festivity, of which there are many. Hua Hin,30 mins away, with its Night Market and Designer Shopping Malls & Floating Market-and traffic jams!- is well worth a couple of visits-but may seem hot and & touristy. Children will treasure riding elephants at Elephant Village. Other good day trips are to Pala U Waterfall, Hua Hin Hills Vineyard and HuayMongkol Temple and,of course, the beautiful coast-you may wish to see greater detail on the internet.

“Everything we could wish for!”

Reviewed 28 Apr 2016

We stayed at Tropical Sea View for 2 weeks in March, and we wish we could have stayed longer! From the moment we stepped inside, we loved the house. It is a 3 bedroom, with a great kitchen, living room, dining room and office area. The furnishings are lovely and very comfortable. With the windows open, we had cool cross breezes which practically eliminated the need for AC. We spent most of our time at home on the spacious front porch, which was quiet and private. The house is situated in a gated community with a large swimming pool, and a pool table, ping pong table and workout equipment. We swam every day and were often the only people in the pool! You need a scooter or a car to get around, but it is a short drive to beautiful beaches and lots of yummy Thai restaurants. It's about a 10 minute drive to the village of Pak Nam Pran, and 20 minutes to the larger area of Pranburi, where there is a Tesco Lotus for shopping. The hosts, Game and Ian, are so friendly and helpful. They made sure we had everything we needed and spent lots of time taking us around to shopping, local sights and out of the way restaurants. We certainly want to return to Tropical Sea View, and highly recommend it for a relaxing, quest holiday.

“Very Nice and Relaxing”

Reviewed 11 Apr 2016

Game and Ian are an extremely hospitable couple who helped us find some great places to eat, local markets, and even a trip to the doctors office to help our daughter. Their house was an amazing, very comfortable, relaxing and with a full-kitchen if you'd like to cook. We also rented a scooter with a side car from them and it was very convenient (an necessary) for going out to get food or taking the family to the beach. If we go back to that area again I would definitely consider staying there again. It's away from the touristy centers of Thailand and has more of a small town feel. I wish our time there could have been longer.

“lovely house in a quiet neighborhood close to the ocean!”

Reviewed 10 Apr 2016

I enjoyed staying in this house very much! It is a very clean, western style house located in a small neighborhood not far from the beach. The neighborhood has a very nice pool that all guests can use. If you rent a motorbike it is very easy to get around and go to the beach. There are 2 beaches fairly close to the house, and several good restaurants as well. It is a wonderful place to relax and get away from the busyness of daily life. The owners live nearby, and they are very friendly and willing to help you with needs you might have. I highly recommend staying at Sununtaya's house- Tropical Seaview.

“Clean, comfortable and modern.”

This home is in a quiet gated neighborhood with a large wonderful pool. We have enjoyed the beaches and roads that have very few people which feel very safe and natural.

“Nice location for family holiday”

Reviewed 5 Apr 2016

We really enjoyed our stay in PranBuri. It is a nice, quite location but still close enough to the local attractions of Hua Hin. The local food was nice and not overly priced like some tourist locations. Unfortunately, there was a LOT of rubbish on what was otherwise a really beautiful beach at Khao Kalok. Game and Ian were very helpful. They showed us around the area and recommended the best places to eat. They were always on hand to answer questions or give help if required. The house was comfortable, clean and well presented. However it lacked some of the conveniences of other rental properties that we have stayed in. There was no washing machine (something which is really useful when you are going to the beach everyday with children) and the cooking facilities were very limited. If you are happy to pay for a laundry service and plan to eat out regularly though, this is a really nice place to stay. Also, be advised of the extra fees before booking. Trip advisor added a rather large booking fee and we also had to pay extra for our third child. This caught us by surprise as the house is advertised for 6 but the cost only covers 4 people. We would recommend having a car or hiring a sidecar motorbike if you stay here. The Tropical Seaview gated community has a lovely pool and a basic gym, but it is not really in walking distance to the beach, restaurants or shops.

Thankyou - we enjoyed meeting you too. I understand the difficulty you experienced with the latest system used for pricing by Holiday Lettings and understand you wrote directly to them about this. I used to have a washing machine available, but guests never used it, saying they were "on holiday"- so I started to do laundry for them at very cheap price if they wanted. For future guests, washing machine can go back in house if needed. I have normal outside Thai 'kitchen' with double gas burner and sink/drainer, plus usual inside kitchen with individual electric oven+microwave+induction hotplate+toaster +kettle+coffee filter+fridge etc. If electric induction hotplate is not preferred, I have standard electric double ring for cooking if requested.

“Outstanding accommodation, beautiful location with”

Reviewed 11 Jan 2015

The accommodation was very impressive with plenty of space for us all, spotlessly clean and very secure. The local area was welcoming and very friendly. We did a number of local tours - the elephant ride and Pranburi River boat trip (seeing Monitor Lizards amongst other wildlife), which our boys really loved - both half days. The highlight was a two night trip to Koh Talu island, where our boys had a great time snorkeling, kayaking and seeing the turtles and coral. In fact, we all fell in love with the place, a beautiful island, a wonderful experience. Game arranged all the tickets/transport and was so helpful - fabulous. She relieved any potential anxieties we may have had. In addition, it was so interesting visiting the local market with her, we learnt so much about local produce and tried things that we would never have done without her knowledge and encouragement. A real bonus to our holiday.

“A wonderful second honeymoon”

Reviewed 30 Nov 2014

Game was a great host and arranged many really nice trips for us, including the hire of our two automatic mopeds. We hadnt driven these before, but they were so easy and the very best thing along the local beach roads with the wind in our hair. The house was really nice - peaceful and comfortable and the local area so wonderful. We made several great friends with Game and Ian. We enjoyed a lovely holiday. Game was especially helpful in the market and with the local Thai food - we WILL return - great.

“Very well organized and welcomed by the owners”

It is good to rent a scooter for visiting the area and it's safe to drive on nice quiet roads. All the restaurants I tried were very good. The hosts were a big plus to our holiday as the helped in many ways they could.

“Authentic Thai experience”

Reviewed 20 Nov 2013

Our host was wonderful, taking us to local places and helped us to experience the Thai way of life. She really went out of her way to help us and introduce us to Thai culture. Beer in the fridge after a long tiring flight was just one of the many little touches that made us feel very welcome. Best to get independant transport early on, motorscooters seem to be best, restaurants etc are just a little too far to walk to and it's good if you are a little adventurous. It can get a little expensive if you rely too much on the taxi/driver service, relatively speaking. It is not a pampered resort experience although the home is part of a protected compound with a swimming pool and games room and a refuge to relax.

“Friendliness, Cleanliness, Happiness, Great Choice Of Accomodation & Location!!”

Reviewed 17 Sep 2012

This was our first time to Thailand & what a place to find. We were greeted on arrival by a the Thai owner (Even allowing it was 11PM local time) She was so welcoming & her English is GREAT! After explaining the layout of the property (IT"S BEAUTIFUL & SPOTLESS!!), Game (is her preferred "English" name), took us on a tour the following day to the pool / jacuzzi / Games room & Gym (For the more active) area. The Kids loved their time at the pool and so did we - never busy, it felt like our own private place. Having Sununtaya, sorry Game, as our point of contact was a great advantage. She pointed us in the right direction for scooter hire (at great prices), places to see, the right tours to take. Places to eat (Traditional Thai ) Also places to eat for the more "European" pallet. One night, she even prepared a Thai Banquet in the villa for us & I mean a banquet. It was heaven on a plate!! The area where the villa is located, is just minutes from the unspoiled beach. As for all our laundry, all of it was taken away by Game as & when. It was returned fresh, pressed and beautifully presented at stupidly low prices. Would I return to Thailand again, yes. Would I return to this villa again? 100% YES!! Thanks Sununtaya, YOU & your stunning Villa made our holiday, one to remember!!
