Description

"Artists's Retreat", lovely and quiet on 10 acres with tall cedar trees, winding walks and charming gardens. Located next to a private professional Art Studio. Freshly redone, new bedding, wood blinds, and a full bath. Small, (the size of a nice hotel room) but complete with original artwork, reliable internet, tiled floors and outside patio with table and chairs. The kitchenette has everything you need to cook the local fish and oysters. Queen sized bed, WI FI, 32" TV and plenty of storage. Skylight, lofted ceiling and large windows make a light filled space. The studio is located 3 miles from Roche Harbor Resort, and 6 miles from the town of Friday Harbor. In Friday roads for bike riding (bikes and mopeds available for rent in town and at Roche Harbor), whale watching on the west side of the island and many parks. Roche Harbor has a sculpture garden and a series of hiking/biking trails with nearby access from the studio. Or take a walk on one of the beaches Harbor there are excellent restaurants, several art galleries,and a farmers market. Friday Harbor has a large and active marina. There are country in the national parks. Everything is close by on San Juan Island, as there are no traffic lights and little traffic. You can see the stars and listen to the tree frogs at night away from the town lights. We have a three night minimum during the summer. We, also, have Monthly rates, if you're interested.

Owner's reply: Janet, Thank you for your review. Internet service works well here, but I agree there is no/limited cell service on the property. “Quiet and comfortable place with lovely hosts”

This is a great place to stay on the island if you have a car. Quiet and clean and comfortable with all you need to cook simple meals. The hosts are helpful and welcoming. Good value compared to Friday Harbor.

Why can't I call Mary (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How can I retract my booking request?

You’ll need to contact Mary (the owner) to do this. Send them a message in Manage your holiday booking or through the contact form on this page.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Mary (the owner) a message.

If Mary (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
