Sea Haven is a fishing/family/fido friendly (immaculately clean) adorable cottage right on the water...with it's own boat dock, lift and a brand new fish cleaning station. Fish and crab right from the dock. Sea Haven has 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. One bedroom is very large with a King bed and a day bed with trundle. Sleeps 4. The large bedroom also has an attached bathroom with a large soaking tub. The other bedroom has a queen bed and large bathroom across the hall. The large kitchen with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances is fully stocked with all the necessary tools to make your special meals. Just bring your groceries and your all set. Down beneath the house provides you with a 2 BBQs, tables, chairs, 2 lounges and a hammock. Also, provided for your enjoyment is a crab pot. Throw it off the dock with some bait in it and enjoy! Fish right off the dock with frozen squid from the Ship and Shore and you will be throwing some on the BBQ that evening!

The cottage provides free wifi and Dish TV. Be sure to know...I take great pride in my cottage (Sea Haven). She is immacutely cleaned after every guest. That should be the least of your concerns. You will find yourself very comfortable. I include starter toilet paper, dishwashing liquid, dishwasher tablets, hand and bath soaps, plenty of linens and towels.

The house is conveniently located within a 1 or 1.5 miles to all restaurants, beaches, birding trail and the Dauphin Island Estuarium. It's located in a quaint, quiet neighborhood with lots of grande and smaller beautiful homes. You can walk/meander through the neighborhoods and inlets for your morning and evening walks. It's very peaceful and everyone is extremely friendly and welcoming. Right behind the house is the neighborhoods private beach/park. It's a great place to take the kids/grandkids to swim and play. I take kayaks there for easy in and out. It's perfect. I highly recommend kayaking the inlets and kayaking Little Dauphin Island as well. Seeing all the birds, beaches and beautiful homes is awesome!

You will feel right at home at Sea Haven. Clean, Comfortable, relaxing and fun! I know you will love it there!

There is a Pet Fee of $50 and if using the Boat Lift there is a $100 fee. Please let me know if you are planning on bringing a pet and/or using the lift.

Getting around

Getting around Dauphin Island is easy and actually fun. From the house you can walk most places. You can ride a bike and get all over the island easily. Kayaking from the house is perfect. Our neighborhood has a private beach right behind the house where you can put in your kayaks easily and get out of them easily. Kayaking around the inlets and looking at all the beautiful homes and scenery is so enjoyable and such treat! By car, you can get from the house anywhere in about 5 minutes or less. It's perfectly located near restaurants, shopping, beaches and the bird sanctuary.

Hello Guests! What can you expect from me? First of all, I am there for you every step of the way. Once you book, you will receive my personal contact information and I will receive yours. But, I will be contacting you to give you your own personal Key Code with instructions on how to get into the house. No messing with Property Managers! Also, I will be giving you the WiFi password. We discuss check-in and check-out times. I often let guests arrive early if there isn't anyone checking out same day. But, even then...we can usually get you in earlier than 3pm if necessary. I will help you with restaurant advice, activities advice, kayak, bike, surfboard and boogie board rentals. Any concerns...I am only a phone call away.

House rules

No cats allowed. House cleaner is extremely allergic to cats. $50 dog fee per dog. Please feed them either outside or in the laundry room. Please pick up dog droppings and place in outside trash can.

If you smoke. Absolutely no smoking inside. Placed outside for your convenience are small buckets. Please do not throw your cigarette ends on the property, neighborhood, or Bay. Thank you!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Cherie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
