The Travel Inn is a strictly smoke free boutique guest house, offering gated parking, cosy air-conditioned apartments, DSTV & free uncapped WiFi, a sparkling swimming pool, barbeque & entertainment area, conveniently located in Umbilo, close to major sports stadiums, golf courses, hospitals, attractions, the Indian Ocean, Durban Harbour, ICC, Ushaka Marine World, Sun Coast Casino and major routes, providing a comfortable, quality environment especially suited to folk travelling on business.

The seven air-conditioned apartments are rented out as a 3 bed cottage plus 4 private suites, each with a hotel quality double bed, private shower, toilet & basin, are made up of four unique private studios which surround the pool and entertainment area and a comfortable private double storey three bedroom cottage.

Your apartment is accessed via secure electronic WiFi card and fully serviced daily (between 10am and 2pm) with crisp white cotton linen and toweling, sunblock curtaining and blinds, uncapped free WiFi, electronic safes, ample cupboard space, desks & lamps, stacks of plug points, bedside pedestals, good lighting, open view LED TV’s, air-conditioners, fans, hair dryers, ventilators, smoke and carbon monoxide alarms and a turn-down service at 6:30pm.

The four comfortable strictly non-smoking studios as well as the three bedroom cottage, each have a fridge/freezer, microwave and kettle together with cutlery and crockery to accommodate any heat and eat requirements and your favorite beverage. No cooking, only microwave.

Complimentary seasonal fruit, tea, coffee, sugar and milk as well as basic toiletries are included and replenished daily.

Blue towels specifically for use around the sparkling swimming pool are provided in addition to the white towels for showering. (Please kindly always shower prior to entering the swimming pool).

In terms of the optional convenient meals at an additional cost, booked in advance, these are served daily:

- buffet style breakfast 6:30 - 8:30 am

- morning tea 10 - 11 am

- set lunch 12 - 1 pm (or a take away lunch pack)

- high tea 3 - 4 pm

- dinner or braai / barbeque 6 - 8 pm

Entrance into this strictly non-smoking establishment (please note that the entire premises is strictly non-smoking) is via remote controlled electric gate with CCTV located throughout the property and free of charge parking on site.

Cellular signal is excellent from all major service providers.

Due to the nature and purpose of this establishment, as well as considering guests wishes, it is unsuitable for smokers, children and pets.

Safety and security is enhanced by allowing only pre-registered guests to have access to the premises together with the requirement that each and every guest entering the premises is required to produce either their SA ID or SA Drivers License or Passport on or before the first day of stay. Security and peace of mind is further enhanced by knowing that no visitors are allowed any time whatsoever day or night.

Regular check-in commences at 14:00 and ends at 18:00 whilst check-out is by 10:00 sharp, however you are welcome to call in with your specific requirements if this does not suit your arrangements.

Guest access

The 24/7 common area includes the car park, swimming pool, beverage station (with stacks of ice), entertainment area with wood and gas braai as well as an exercise cycle for your convenience.
