Are you looking for a cheap and safe place to live with a homey atmosphere? Then The White House is the place for you! Whether you’re travelling alone, in a group or with your special someone, we can provide you with rooms that will fit your situation.
We can offer you both single rooms, shared rooms with bunk beds and couples room with a double bed. The rooms are big, and also contain closets or shelves for you to put your clothes on. The toilet facilities in The White House are of European standard, and the showers and toilets are only a few seconds of walk from every room.
If you stay with us you will be provided with three meals every day cooked by our excellent local chef, who both cooks local Tanzanian food and European food – we’re trying not to brag about our chef, but she is amazing! Also, if you have any special circumstances regarding food such as allergies or intolerances, just let us know and we will solve that.
The White House is located in Arusha, only 15 minutes walk from Clock Tower, where you will find cafes, small shops and more than one bank, where money can be withdrawn all hours of the day. Arusha is a safe area, but of course The White House has strong security so you will be safe during your stay
Because the house is located just outside of town, you will get to experience the more "real" Arusha, than you will mostly experience at the hotels in town. And as mentioned earlier, our chef cooks delicious local food - all in all, you will get a great experience of life in Arusha, not only as tourist.
The White House of Tanzania is a family-run business owned by the Jackson family consisting of Junior, Johnson, Julieth and Mama-Junior. Besides the family, the only staff member is the amazing chef and maid, Sarah. What is so special about staying at the White House of Tanzania is, that you will become a part of the family during your stay. No request is too small, and all of us will always try our best to help our guests.
As Arusha is located close to many tourist atractions, the staff of the White House will be more than happy to help plan safaris, trekkings, trips around the area to waterfalls, masai villages, local hotsprings - you name it.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us – we will try out best to fulfill your wishes,
Life is always expensive, but not in Tanzania and especially not in The White House!
Karibu Arusha - we can't wait to meet you soon!
