“Lovely apartment” My stay was one for business so my main priority was that I needed an apartment convenient for everything. This apartment did not disappoint. It had everything you could need provided and was very comfortable and clean. The host, Elaine, was excellent. She greeted me on arrival and was very helpful and informative, plus provided a great welcome pack so I didn't have to rummage around for basics on arrival. The apartment itself is centrally located so very convenient for all the amenities and also only a very short taxi ride to the airport (also in walk-able distance if you didn't have much luggage). The only down side was the noise from, and the view of, the roundabout. The apartment itself is on the second floor, but I was unable to completely block out the noise. It didn't cause too much of an issue, but thought it best to mention. Also, I was unable to make use of the pool as you need to check in with pool security, and they weren't available after 6.00pm (as mentioned was on business so not back in time). Would stay here again in the future as overall a very pleasant experience.
“Excellant” Excellant,The accomodation was superb, ideally situated within easy walking distance of all amenties, with only a quick 15 minutes walk from the airport.
We were made to feel at home form our welcome and despite some unusual weather conditions did not stop us from doing everything we wanted to do.
“Amazing apartment with an amazing location.” The location of the apartment was just opposite the bus station and town centre. The apartment was fresh and clean with everything you could need. We stayed for a week in February and although the weather wasn't hot it was lovely to be in walking distance of all the attractions. If your not up for a walk, the bus hopper is just £2.25p to travel to all the sights. We had a brilliant holiday and will be returning again. I highly recommend Gibraltar and this apartment. Very happy
“Home from Home” I stayed here for 4 nights with my husband and two children (Aged 2 1/2 and 5 months) it was perfect. It had everything we needed. The apartment is modern, clean and spacious and the views are stunning.
The location is ideal as you are close to restaurants/bars and shops. Casemates is a few minutes walk and the boarder to Spain is not far. We had a wedding to attend next to the Elliot's Hotel that was also within walking distance.
I would recommend going to see the monkeys on the cable cars I don't like heights but once you are at the top the views are beautiful.
I will defiantly come back and stay at this apartment. Thanks David for your help and making us feel welcome.
“Lovely apartment in fab locations” The apartment was lovely, balcony was big, handy having a washing machine.
It's shame the swimming pools were closed for maintenance would of liked to go in. Ocean village is lovely with nice bars and restaurants. Very close to Main Street.
“Fantastic, 5 star accomodation” Our gibraltar holiday experience was truly amazing due to our wonderful accomodation, right in the center of it all. the owner, Carrie, was friendly, helpful and very pleasant to deal with.
The flat is furnished to a very high standard and was clean and comfortable.
We thoroughly enjoyed the pool & facilities and the location was excellent.
Thanks again Carrie!
Besides owning three weeks' prime timeshare in Orlando from 1977 - 2005 and always exchanging our property for others both inside the US and elsewhere in the world, two of which we could have lived in forever, we have also stayed in the Ocean Village complex on two other occasions so it is not without some knowledge of renting apartments that this is being written. Crystal Seas is well furnished and the owner has obviously spent a lot of time ensuring that the decor, especially the French flavoured paintings throughout, is very pleasing. All the beds are comfortable and the bedding and towels are of a high quality. The bathrooms and showers are excellent. However, as we pointed out to the owner's representative, the lighting in them is simply too dim and the mirrors are so far beyond the wash basins that one cannot see very much, which is not helpful if wet shaving or making-up one's face. This is easily overcome by turning one of the bedside table drawers onto its side, putting it onto one of the wide window ledges and placing a looking glass on top. A spare roll or two of toilet paper would have been appreciated. Fortunately, a very useful convenience store, Ransons, is a short walk away. Although the lighting in the kitchen is rather too hot if standing beneath it, the hob, the two ovens, the microwave, the toaster, the kettle and both dishwashers worked without any problems and everything was spotless. There are plenty of utensils but a pair of kitchen scissors, some kitchen rolls and a few dishwasher tablets would be useful. The very smart dining table is situated between the kitchen and the living area but there is no lighting above it which means that it is somewhat difficult to see what one is eating. It would be even better if some table mats were added to the inventory; they may be there but we could not find any. The TV is a sensible size for the room and the owner kindly supplied a DVD/CD player for us. The balcony is pleasantly large; it faces north-west so does not have any sun until around 1600. The splendid heated pools are about 100 metres from Grand Ocean Plaza and have sun all day long. A new complex is being built alongside Grand Ocean Plaza but the glazing is so good that not a sound can be heard if the windows are shut. The whole ambience of the apartment is in keeping with what is claimed and we shall have no hesitation in recommending it to our family and friends. …
Royal Ocean Plaza
This was my second time staying in the apartment and I would highly recommend it! The whole booking was easy and any questions you had the owners replied quickly, the apartment was clean with amazing views. The air con was broken at the time but we were informed before we arrived and we had a portable unit which was just right and worked perfectly. When I go back to gibraltar I would definitely stay here again! …

I can't recommend this apartment enough - its just PERFECT in every way. I've never been to Gibraltar before, and only came out here for my friends wedding - our stay was for 4 nights and from start to finish it was brilliant. The apartment has everything in it you need - but restaurants and bars are all so near you really don't need to cook and The Ship, which is just a few steps away is an ideal spot for a quick breakfast. Also, the apartment is in the most perfect location - and - I think, at the best end- right opposite the marina with beautiful views of the Sunborn and all the other boats. Just a perfect few days away - dont hesitate to book - you wont be disappointed. …
Ocean Village holiday apartment, 5 shared pools
Really enjoyed our stay here, loved the view from the balcony. Plenty of room and very well equipped. Great communication with the owner. The pool area was fantastic we especially like the quiet area. Close to all the amenities. Hope to return one day. …
Lovely view and location
The apartment is very spacious and well stocked with all you need. They supplied a cot was handy and saved bringing ours, however they said there would be a high chair what there was not what made it a little difficult to feed are active toddler.
On arrival Susanne was very helpful and friendly. Could do with a little more info on how to use air conditioning, dishwashers and tv. Maybe a booklet in the apartment would be helpful in future.
The apartment is in a great location as you can easily access the marina bars and restaurants and also a short stroll to the town. Especially as the best pizza takeout is a 2 min walk away opposite the bus stop on the way into town!!
The pools are lovely and not to busy, always able to get a subbed. The sun doesn’t hit the pool to lunchtime and is their till 8/9pm at night. It’s well looked after and very clean.
Are only con and in are opinion a big one was that their was no cushions on the balcony furniture making very uncomfortable to use!! As we have 3 children we stayed in most evenings after a busy day by the pool and enjoy sitting out playing cards and games with the kids enjoying the breathtaking view. But without cushions on the seats it ruined it for us!!
Obviously there is building work going but it did not bother us, but be prepared to see builders working when using the balcony in the day. The noise could not really be heard from inside the apartment and they start at 8am till 7pm at night. Their not there at weekends.
Overall had a lovely family holiday …
