“Snowdrop Cottage” This cottage really is a hidden gem,so tastefully converted from a farm building. It had everything we needed for our four night break including a very nice welcome pack and it was really cosy in the evenings when we lit the fire. Seamus was the perfect host and guide. Thank you Seamus and Eileen.

“What a true hidden gem- could have stayed here forever” Myself and my husband stayed in The Orchard Hidden Gem cottage back on the 31st of October. After a hectic few months with work we were looking for somewhere unique and relaxing to put our feet up for a couple of nights. We wanted to just sit by the fire with a bottle or wine and relax. I did a quick search for cottages here on Trip Advisor and came upon Hidden Gem Cottages which looked just like what we were after so I booked. The owners Seamus and Eileen were so welcoming and helpful and we arrived to a set and ready to light wood burning stove, a warm freshly baked ginger loaf and a lovely bottle of red. There were fresh eggs and butter in the fridge and some other lovely touches such as old board games, books and also free Wifi. There are two cottages beside each other, The Orchard which we stayed in and Snowdrop next door. Both cottages have been renovated to exceptional standards and you can tell this renovation project was truly a labour of love and everything from the beams to the crane behind the fire lead to a wonderful Irish cottage experience. We stayed in Orchard, the bigger of the two cottages which had an old style kitchen, cosy sitting room, downstairs toilet, with two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. This cottage would be ideal for a family or party of 4/5. Seamus also showed us around Snowdrop nest door and this has also been renovated to exceptional standards and would be more suitable for a couple due to the fact it has one bedroom. The area itself is in the middle of the countryside. We were able to head off both days for a walk . There is a village just a few minutes down the road in the car where you can pick up all the essentials and there is a pub there also. which serves food. We didn't visit it so I can't say what it is like. The towns of Clones and Enniskillen are also close by if you have a car. I would definitely recommend these cottages for someone who is looking for a relaxing or romantic breakaway in the countryside and who like me has a real love for the cottage experience. We are looking forward to our return trip in the new year.
