“Our stay at riverdance” We had a great time, even though the weather did not cooperate with us. We enjoyed the cabin and the creek. Everything was clean and comfortable. Would recommend this place to others.

“Clean!” This is a very clean cottage and very nice. The pictures do not do it justice. Location is close to anywhere you need to go and is in a very quiet area. I could live here permanently.

“Good home base” Two friends and I came down to asheville for a girlfriend's getaway. Just minutes from downtown (1 quick highway exit)this house had 3 comfortable bedrooms, lots of light in the spacious sunroon, new harwood floor through the main part of the unit, and piece and quiet while an easy distance to the hustle and bustle. The owners were very friendly, brought us cookies, supplied maps and pamphlets to attactions. There were a couple of burned out lights, but as soon as we let them know they came and replaced them right away. Note for tea drinkers, there isn't a stove and while there is a coffee maker and a microwave, you might want to bring an eletric kettle.

“Relaxing and carefree” We had such a wonderful and memorable weekend. Very picturesque and ever so quiet when you're there mid season. There were wineries and breweries within a short driving distance, and the local restaurants are spot on. I would not suggest using GPS, it gets you in the vicinity but not to the right house. Thank goodness for pictures of the house. The kitchen is absolutely beautiful, but bring your own trash bags and sandwich bags etc. The master bath and bed is very nice. We loved the bed so much that we are buying a mattress exactly like it because we slept so well. My only other suggestion would be to have the house ready for arrival. The house was cold, and the entry way was not swept, I picked up a few pieces of trash laying around on the driveway, but I am a Manager of a very nice Boutique Hotel so I notice these small things. All in all it was so lovely and I would definitely stay again.

“Repeats are so sweet!” This was our second fall trip to the Baker's cabin. It's works so well as a fun, family reunion home. Bruce & Marion have thought of just about everything. Since our family is food oriented we use their great kitchen as a gathering place where someone is always preparing their favorite dish or snack for all to try. The quaint living room was well used as a sports venue by day( huge flat screen w/NFL package) and a board game marathon hall at night. Bring your own or experiment with their inventory. Plenty of quiet, warm and comfortable bedrooms upstairs for those wonderful afternoon naps! I left the covered deck for last. Great hot tub, a Weber "turbo-charged grill and trout stream views that chase away all those demons you brought with you. Pour yourself two fingers of Maker's Mark, light up a Fuente and and listen to the water!

“The only place to stay in asheville!” My wife and I stayed two nights in Georgia's beautiful home in Downtown asheville on april 8th and 9th. The home was clean and the location-minutes to the center of Downtown asheville and minutes to the Biltmore are perfect. Georgia was the perfect host greeting us upon arrival and giving us visitor information. The unit was well stocked with bread, milk and other basic food supplies and she even provided a welcome bottle of wine and home made cookies! The wrap around porch was great for morning coffee and a late night drink.

“Honeymooners in the Mountains!” We selected asheville because it was halfway home from Florida where we had our wedding ceremony on 12/27/12, also because we had heard so many good things about asheville. Since we were traveling with dogs, a fence is a must as they enjoy running around and taking in the smells untethered! Red Gate Cottage was so very much more than a fenced-in cabin in the woods. It is hard to describe all the personal touches that Georgia has put into the cottage to make it so magical. In fact, we probably missed some awesome asheville sightseeing because the cottage would not allow us to leave! We enjoyed the limitless options of vegetarian/vegan fare the city had to offer and are already looking forward to future visits.

“A Kiss from God” This experience for my husband and I was truly a kiss from God. We went to the Clearfield Cottage for our 2nd year wedding anniversary...and oh how our whole world, our entire trajectory shifted on life and all that it is. Ron and Rachel are just a gift. As soon as we drove up the mountain to the land, our mouths dropped; however, once my husband stepped foot in the house, he gasped and had to shut the door b/c of how divine the cottage look. Trust me people, the pictures posted of the cottage are beautifully enticing; however, experiencing it is another ballgame. As we walked in, we just kept singing the tune Wow Wow Wow! Ooh-Ahh Ooh-Ahh (smile). Seriously though, those were our responses. Every nook and cranny of this marvelous oasis had expressions of both Ron and Rachel. Rachel's art work is like life captured on canvas. You can feel her spirit in each one of her paintings. To see life through her eyes was an honor. And Ron...his bellowing music of serenity, healing, rest & rejuvenation will only put you in a place of inspiration and gratitude. These two have become my husband's and my dear friends. I told Ron that I didn't want to leave a review b/c we wanted this piece of heaven on earth to ourselves (of course we know that is not realistic ...but ohhh if it were); however, that would be selfish of us. We want EVERYONE to experience their experience of the Clearfield Estate. I literally could go on and on as you can see, but I won't. I leave it to your imagination to ponder what all you will embark upon when you hit that small button at the bottom that says "pay" after reading this review. You will not regret it but rather CELEBRATE it!

“Best mountain stay ever!” This is truly one of the best mountain places we have ever stayed! Our vacations are varied, and we like to visit different resorts/rentals when traveling, but this is one place we would definitely return to in the future. The owner was extremely helpful with every question we had, even in the midst of a family emergency. She answered my emails/texts quickly and completely. The cabin has everything you could want and was the perfect place for our family of five. Each child had their own room with extra space leftover. The downstairs game room had something for everyone, and we spent time there every night - made for great family competition! The hot tub was a nice, relaxing way to end the evening. We were pleasantly surprised to find more than the basics in the kitchen to help us in preparing our breakfasts before we headed out to explore each day. We look forward to coming back in the summer and experiencing the fun river activities - tubing, kayaking, etc. We would highly recommend this beautiful cabin!
