It was a great pleasure hosting Craig's Family. They all were very nice and respectful. I am glad that the children had a lot of fun playing in the pool and the hot spa as well as Craig and Janelle did enjoy in addition to the waterfall the slide into the water and the BBQ grill. Also enjoyed the Theater room and watch a movie or two one or two nights and the children enjoyed Disney Channel and couple of VHS Movie that we had to offer in addition to our extensive Jukebox with around 300 music CD's with all type of music that was on thru out the house and outdoor on our entertainment surround sound system that was up during all their stay. Enjoyed their stay and definitely would recommend to any other owners on flipkey and would love to host them again if an other opportunity will ever arise. Surely a guest that has appreciated all the amenities that our Tropical Home has to offer.

I would like to personally apologize to you and your guests for your experience. Our goal is to provide every guest with excellent service and a great place to stay. In this instance we let you and your guests down. That was unacceptable.
I feel that this situation could have been handled more effectively with better communication. As you recall, it was very difficult to communicate. For most people I call and text throughout their stay. The only form of communication you chose to use was email.
After your initial inquiry about the air conditioning, I offered to send over a repairman to check out the air conditioning units. You told me, via email, that “it was fine”, causing me to assume that it was merely a thermostat issue. We had no idea that it was more than that. Our thermostats can sometime be difficult to use with all the touchscreen buttons. I provided you with my personal cell number, my wife’s cell number, as well as our property manager’s number which is posted in the kitchen. If you or any one of your guests would have let us know the severity of the issue, we would have sent over a repairman, immediately.
Following your stay, here’s what we’ve done.
1. Installed new, easier to use thermostats.
2. We’ve had the Air Conditioning Repairman go through and service the entire system.
New policies that we’ve enacted;
1. We will send over the property manager to verify that any and all concerns are handled immediately.They are within 5 minutes of the property.
2. The property manager, myself, or my wife will follow up within 24 hours on all concerns, even if the tenant declares that the issue is fixed, fine, or not a problem.
Thank you for your review of our property. We are new to home renting and your input will make us better hosts. Once again, I’m sorry for your experience at our rental. We will work on finding better and faster ways to communicate with our clients so that all issues (severe and minor) are handled promptly and professionally.

. I am sorry to hear of your difficulties and will address each of your concerns here.
Regarding that I sleep in the living room: This is correct. I live here & when the private room is booked, this is where I sleep. I am not quite sure why this would offend the guest as this is what the guest paid for; a private bedroom and a shared bathroom? Unfortunately, the guest did not rent the whole condo with run of the house.
Regarding the kitchen: The guest actually does have access to the kitchen & under the description of the condo, it clearly states that regarding the kitchen: you will not have access to any appliances other then the refrigerator, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, kettle, paper towels, paper plates, paper bowls, plastic cups & plastic utensils. The stove/oven are not included. So for the guest to mention they were denied kitchen access is simply not accurate. The guest don't speak the hosts language and the host doesn't speak the guests language, so maybe something was lost in our Google translator on our cell phones?
Regarding the shower: It is unclear as to why the guest feels you would swim in the shower? The shower is designed as an oversized, luxurious "open feel" design. I am quite proud of the $12,000.00 shower remodel I completed 6 months ago. This is why I have 3 pictures of the shower in my listing. Not only is it ADA compliant, but it accommodates 2 people at one time & additionally, there is seating for shaving as well as multiple shower heads. It is an exact replica of the newly remodeled rooms at one of our famous Resort and Casino's on the famous Las Vegas strip. If it's good enough for the rooms and suites, it's more then enough for myself as well as my guests.
Regarding the air conditioning controls: Please remember you are in a private persons home. Most homes in the States have central heating & cooling, just as my condo has. The control panel is located in the kitchen. If you feel hot, just ask the host to make it cooler & if you are cold, just ask the host to make it warmer. Unfortunately, it is not acceptable to turn the whole condo to your desired temperature when you are renting just 1 room in my home.
Lastly, the guest never stayed here. The guest arrived & left 20 minutes later. The guest never asked to make the room either warmer or cooler. The guest never showered here. The guest never asked to use the kitchen. I am not sure where all of the guests hostility comes from?
I respect the guest's right to bury their head in the sand and create issues that never happened. I can tell the guest that I have been hosting on multiple sites with over 100 guests since 12/2014 and on this site for the last 2 months with over 9 bookings and not a single person had anything negative to say. I sincerely believe that since we both spoke different languages, that things were simply lost in translation. The guest's actions and comments regarding the condo are nothing more then a Bain Aid on the guests ego & sad personality. That being said, I do wish the guest all the best in the future.
I would like it known that all monies were refunded to the guest. This is a simple misunderstand where the guest informed me upon arrival that they believed themselves to be renting the whole apartment as opposed to just a private bedroom with a shared shower.
