“Ms” Had a wonderful stay here and would highly recommend this penthouse apartment. The owner was more than helpful re communication and providing so much helpful information. The apartment is very well stocked with all you need. Even beach towels were provided. Every cooking utensil etc. My only critique which is very picky is there is only one large 3 seater sofa. As a family of 5 we all struggled to sit on this together. I feel as the apartment sleeps 6 it could do with another small
Sofa or armchair. Plenty of space to sit on the balcony and rooftop terrace and a dining table and chairs indoors also. The apartment is in a nice location and Roda complex is clean and very well landscaped. I hired a car which was a must. Overall extremely happy with this comfortable and spacious apartment and I would stay again.
“A very comfortable and relaxing week” We had a very relaxing week and it was nice to be able to sit outside on the terrace for a bit of warm winter sunshine.
We did not leave the resort all week and found plenty of places to eat and a well stocked and inexpensive supermarket all within a five minutes walk from the apartment.
The apartment was spotlessly clean, fully equipped and furnished to a very high standard.
For someone wishing to explore the region a hire car would be essential but as we were there just to read and "chill out" we arranged to be met and returned to the local airport.
I would unhesitatingly recommend this apartment to friends and family.
We enjoyed it so much that we have booked the owners other apartment at La Manga during October.
“Brilliant” Excellent location for getting around this area. Very quiet when we were there, but to be expected in early January. Sucina, a lovely small village with a couple of restaurants, bars and a few shops, within 10 minute drive. Jamie's apartment was excellent, soon warmed up, as I suspect no one had been there for a while. Everything we needed. Maybe a couple of rugs on the floor for the winter, but apart from that we wanted for nothing. Weather was mixed, with a few very windy days, but we did manage to get in the sun on the balcony a couple of times.
“Fantastic holiday, want to move there!” We have recently returned from our first, but definitely not our last, visit to Los Alcazares. We were looking for a bit of sunshine in a quiet, but not isolated place and we found just what we needed. Superbly sunny weather, ideal for exploring the surrounding area or just walking along the promenade to enjoy the fantastic outlook onto the Mar Menor – a truly awe-inspiring vista. The feel of the old town and seafront is so relaxing, friendly and full of locals watching the world go by. There are plenty of really good supermarkets near to the apartment but also some lovely restaurants and bars in the old town and also in the pedestrianized street. We visited Cartagena during our stay; beautiful old town with great shops.
The apartment is excellently located near to shops, bars, restaurants and supermarkets, but in a quiet location in a gated community with a beautiful pool. The apartment has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a good-sized kitchen. There were plenty of spare sheets and towels and a washing machine should you need it. The ultimate draw is, however, the fabulous roof terrace where you can relax without being disturbed by any other guests; brilliant for relaxing at the end of the day with your favourite tipple.
The whole process from start to finish was so easy; prompt replies to emails, excellent organisation and communication and helpful service once we arrived at the apartment.
All in all, we had a fantastic holiday in a wonderful place; small, friendly, sunny, relaxed and really good value for money. What more could you ask for?

“Fantastic apartment in an idillic place” after spending 4 nights in this apartment for a girls break I can honestly say it was perfect. The apartment had everything we could have wished for and more! Beautifully furnished and a great terrace where the sun shines 24/7. There are fantastic amenities near by and lovely bars/restaurants all within a very short walk. The 2 beaches are fantastic, we spent everyday all day on the beach at the mar menor, 2 minutes walk, crystal clear and ideal for small children. The Mediterranean Sea is just a 5 minute walk so you have a choice of where you want to be! I would highly recommend this apartment and we can't wait to go back.
“Excellent apartment and very safe and secure.” Apartment was within a golf complex which was very safe and secure. It had an excellent pool which the family enjoyed. Apartment was lovely and clean and had everything you need for your stay. Best air conditioning I have ever experienced and it was throughout the flat. Absolutely beautiful roof terrace with stunning views. We hired a car which I feel is essential. Quite a quiet resort but does have a good selection of restaurants and bars.
“Great apartment with fantastic roof terrace especially if you want peace and quiet” Apartment as described - situated in a quiet part of the strip. Facilities within apartment were excellent and the private roof terrace with barbecue was the main feature. Note: siesta is from 3-6pm and many local facilities shut down although apartment has easy access to both beeches which were almost empty during siesta time. Bus stop just around the corner at the 17km sign (not marked as bus stop), costs 1euro 5cent to travel anywhere up the strip although no apparent timetable as buses seemed to come at different times each day - beware this is not a 24hr service as our teenagers discovered when coming out of the nightclub at 5am and were dropped off at 13km bus stop (where the marina is)having to walk the remaining 4km. Limited restaurants within walking distance but short bus ride to the marina where there is an excellent supermarket (ATM machine inside is the nearest one to the apt). Great market at the marina on Saturday am - would recommend the spit roasted chicken and ribs. Lovely Mexican restaurant there as well and a number of good bars especially The Lounge. Paddywacks bar at the beginning of the strip (2km zone)was great for the teenagers. Overall we had a great weeks stay in the apartment
“Excellent apartment” This is a lovely apartment excellently furnished with a great outdoor space we have stayed at hacienda requielme a few times and this is the best we have stayed in. Would book again.
“Fabulous Location” The Acacia Penthouse is the 2nd property we have rented at Hacienda Riquelme.
Had this been the 1st one we stayed in, we would have never looked elsewhere! The apartment is well equipped with all the mod cons in the kitchen inc. a dishwasher which means you can spend all the more time in the sun.
The HUGE panoramic window is the kitchen is a wonderful feature, and is the large wrap around terrace outside.
Comfy lounge seating and dining table and chairs outside mean you may actually only use the inside for sleeping!
Comfy kingsize bed in the main bedroom with a door straight out onto the terrace- we loved lazing in bed in the morning with a cup of tea, listening to the birds singing as the sun rose.
Small, but functional bathroom and big fluffy white towels!
Overlooks the edge of the pool area with comfy sunbeds for lounging on-not all apartments supply these
Good walk to the Hacienda/Supermarket, but good to get some excersise after all the over indulging.
Free WI FI and an ipod docking station just add to the quality of this apartment-you wont get that in many !
Beautiful sunset every night whilst sipping a glass of wine- absolutely perfect!
Hope to be back next year
“Fantastic family friendly apartment a real home from home” We stayed at this apartment with 3 children, one being a young baby, plus 3 adults in August 2011. The spacious accommodation was very well equipped with all "mod cons" including TV's in the lounge and both bedrooms. A travel cot was provided so saved us taking our own. There was also a good selection of pool/beach toys for our 2 older children keeping happily entertained during our stay.
In addition to an indoor eating area, the balcony provided shaded eating/relaxation in the afternoons or evenings.
The sun terrace has a built in BBQ, shower, sun loungers, retractable hanging facilities if you wish to launder your clothes.
A nice secure pool area, with a shallow area for smaller children. The palm trees will by now have grown taller providing much needed shade in August.
As stated in other reviews there are lots of places of interest and good beaches in the area.
The owners have defiantly succeeded in making this apartment a real home from home.
Thanks for a fantastic stay.
“Fantastic 2 weeks in the sun.” This is a great apartment in a really good location. We felt immediately at home here in this very well maintained and equipped property. Particularly enjoyed the extra space up on the roof terrace- a good spot for evening dinner & drinks. Our daughter loved the pool and we spent much of our stay around it! Food was good at the clubhouse and also at local restaurants i Los Alcazares. Would reccomend Lo Pagan beach as one to go to.
“Excellent Property - Just What We Needed.” All in all a really nice place to stay. Nice views of the 2nd tee and 3rd green and although I can't play at the moment it passed the time while relaxing with a G and T. Stayed in an apartment round the corner in July but this apartment was so much better! It is nice and peaceful but only a 10-12 minute drive to Los Alcazares and lots of other nearby towns. Well equipped with a comprehensive guidance manual. No hesitation in recommending the apartment.
“Excellent value for money apartment with all the home comforts and private roof top terrace with lounge beds” Roda Golf Complex is located within walking distance of local shops (including Lidl), restaurants and the beach. The complex also has access to Private Beach Club. Unfortunately we did not visit this so unable to comment. The Club House (open until 11.30pm) provides free wi-fi access for anyone taking their own laptops as well as being able to enjoy food and drink. There is also a reception located near entrance gate where a range of DVDs are available for hire for 2 Euros per night (3 Euros deposit also required which is refunded upon return). There are 2 swimming pools located either side of the apartment block.
The apartment has all the home comforts including air conditioning, Sky TV, DVD player, washing machine, iron and ironing board, clothes horse, patio furniture/parasol, beach chairs and lounge beds. The apartment has en-suite bathroom and separate shower room. Kitchen facilities also included a Microwave. 1 bath and hand towel supplied per person for the duration of your stay (therefore washing machine comes in handy to keep these clean). Would definitely recommend hire of beach towels (10 Euros per week) to save carrying in luggage - you will need these to cover lounge beds on roof top.
The owner's PA maintained excellent communication with us and was very helpful.
We had great weather during our 2 week stay with only a couple of days overcast. We hired a car which came in handy to transport shopping to the apartment (20 mins walk away from the apartment although there is a small shop on the complex).
Overall, apartment facilities were excellent and definitely value for money. The roof top terrace is definitely a bonus with this property.
“Lovely apartment, great facilities with terrific views over the golf course.” We were looking for a decent sized apartment away from the crowds and we certainly found it at Condado. The apartment was clean, comfortable and well equipped and suited my wife, teenage son and me perfectly. The views over the golf course to the mountains meant sitting on the large balcony in the comfy settees following an active day out was a real pleasure .
We are not golfers but the steady stream of enthusiasts kept us entertained over breakfast with the lake shots being a particular favourite. The facilities of the complex meant whether we wanted to take a dip in the pool, stock up on supplies or have a leisurely lunch we were well catered for. There are several restaurants in the square offering a decent choice and great value. Our trip coincided with both the regular market, great for fresh local produce, and the annual festival; camel ride anyone?
A short drive on the excellent roads leads to a wide variety entertainment. During our stay we had a quad bike and canoe safari in the mountains, visited the local beaches, did the tourist thing in local towns and cities and went scuba diving at a PADI centre. Oh, and for the competitive dads there is a qo-kart track 5 minutes away where you can turn up a drive and try to beat your young offspring.
All in all we had a great time with a combination of sight seeing, physical activities and relaxation and the apartment provided the perfect base for us.
