“The best beach accommadation I have ever experienced” I went up to Tofo with 4 mates for a few weeks. The house is amazing, with plenty of space for privacy even when at its' capacity of 8 people. The beach in itself is flawless, kilometers long and all to yourself on most days!! No quad-bikes, jet-skis or motorboats to spoil the surroundings, only the occasional local fishing boat rowing out. We were there during 'winter' and it was fantastic, mid twenties (degrees) on a daily basis. The area is far from any main roads so you will not get any unwarranted visitors. The driveway is sand roads and palm trees taking you a few kilometers from the main road and into the dunes to the beach. The house has an amazing deck and pool and a flight of stairs takes you to the beach. The local town is a short drive away (20 mins) where you can get all you need from the local market, fresh fruit, veg, and bread, as well as sea food straight from the ocean. We had an amazing few weeks here and I'd highly recommend visiting this area and especially this accommodation.

“Awesome, idyllic and secluded location, jaw droppingly stunning views and beautifully appointed accomodation” What an amazing place to recharge one's batteries, and soak in the truly magnificent vista from the villa deck and infinity pool. The villa itself is beautifully designed and luxuriously appointed, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The wooded finishes integrate well with the coastal dune forest. Long walks along the peninsula beach in both directions. In my opinion this villa has the prime site on the whole peninsula. Sea temperature in winter (july) was around 23 celcius, and swimmable, but the infinity pool was too chilly (possibly due to the colder than normal weather we experienced due to large frontal system that arrived from the south) Take note that the self drive option requires a high clearance powerful 4x4 (not a standard SUV 4x4 like we had) otherwise you will get bogged down in very very sandy roads. Also give yourself plenty of time (at least 3-4 hours) to drive from the elephant reserve entrance up the peninsula to the villa, and make sure you have detailed instructions from the owner, and take the precise gps coord of the villa, because there are no road signs at all. Also note that there is basically no cell reception for over 90% of the trip up the peninsula. Other option is to take the ferry transfer across Maputo bay which takes about 1 1/2 hours to Santa Maria, from where a transfer to the villa can be organized by the owner. Getting there is worth the effort though!!
“Stunning beach getaway” We stayed at Casa Algodoal for 4 nights and wish we'd stayed longer. The house was gorgeous with stunning beach viewsand we had everyting we needed for a self-catering holiday. Only a short walk 5-minute to the beach and the staff were friendly and helpful, with the place kept very clean. The owner Ghizlaine checked to see that we had all we needed and provided internet access for us, which was much appreciated. We thoroughly recommend Casa Algodoal.
