Brightside
A truly "top of the range" holiday villa

"Brightside" made our Antigua holiday really memorable. There were six of us - 2 late sixties grandparents, 2 late forties parents and 2 kids aged 11 and 9. The villa is incredibly spacious and airy (even if there were 8 people, not just us 6). It's facilities are first class throughout - a comprehensive set of top class appliances (eg. American style washer, drier, large oven and hob, dishwasher and large fridge/freezer with ice-maker), air-conditioning and ceiling fans in abundance, more than enough furniture both inside, and outside on the large covered terraces, and a lovely large swimming pool with waterfall. The location is superb - quiet and peaceful, with sea views back and front, yet within a few minutes walk of Long Bay beach (lovely swimming and snorkelling, and 3 beach bars/ restaurants) where locals and holiday-makers mix in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The villa is also a few minutes walk away from The Verandah resort, with which it has a relationship, ie. you can use all the resort's facilities - swimming pools, beach activities, tennis, mini-golf, shuttle service between reception and the various bars and restaurants, etc. The resort also "looks after" the villa if there are any issues (there weren't for us). Brightside is situated in a quiet part of Antigua, but only a half-hour drive from the airport, and from St Johns (where there is an excellent large American style supermarket), and from most of the Island's many great beaches and attractions (eg. English Harbour/ Nelson's Dockyard/ Shirley Heights). If you're looking for a luxury villa holiday in Antigua, stay at Brightside. … see more
