“Blown away” My family and I have just had the most woderful holiday at the Laksmana Villa. This was our forth time in Bali and in that time we have stayed in hotels and villas all over the island. This villa was the nicest and best located property that we have ever stayed at. There are two large & separate bedrooms each with their own QS bed, heaps of space, high thatched roof, aircon, with a nice flat screen TV & DVD player. Each room has it's own bathroom which has a vanity area connected to a separate toilet which is connected to an open air shower with a nice big "rain" shower head. The bathroom was basic, but was more than suitable. In between both rooms is a living area with dining table, chairs & a sofa that faces the pool. There is a kitchen behind the table which also includes a fridge & purified water dispenser (very handy!). For us the nicest part of this villa was the outdoor/pool area. The private grounds are quiet & serene & the pool was great to cool down in after a few hours out and about. Whilst you are within 30 second walk (literally) to the main strip, the outdoor area was always relaxing & made the trip complete. As for location, as the website says, it is right on "eats street" or Jl Oberoi / Jl Laskmana. As you come out of the villa you are across the road from gems such as Chandi, Ginger Moon and Bali Cafe and within 10 minute walk to KuDeTa and the beach. There are also numerous shops, mini-marts and Dr surgery on the same street. The staff were also fantastic. The manager Ketut was the most gorgeous and caring manager we have ever had. He was always available and took a keen liking to our baby. Despite this being our first trip with bub (he is 6 months old) the owner Cathy made sure there was a baby cot (with mosquito net), pram (with mosquito net), baby bath and baby-safe insect repellent. It made the stay so lovley for us and made sure the bub was always smiling. For the price, comfort and location we will only stay here when we are in Bali.

“Fantasic Spot” We stayed for Six nights at Dream Haven Villa 2 in May . The Villa is in a fantastic spot. It is a short walk to all the resturants ,shops and the beach. The Villa has three large bedrooms. We liked the open plan living/dining area . It had a full equiped kitchen area if needed. The Villa had a beautiful pool area and garden. There was plenty of room for the kids to play outside. Where the Villa is located we felt very safe to walk around, It was also lovely to have your own private deck chairs on the beach. Michelle the owner was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions I had. Her staff were lovely. Nyoman was always there to help us and drive us around. He had also arranged a birthday cake for my dad while over there which was lovely. We would recommend Dream Have Villa 2. We will be back next year.

“Impressive” Stayed at Novatel Nusa Dua private residences for ten days with husband and two grandkids. The unit was perfect for our needs as the boys could still use the hotel facilities for swimming etc with the other families who also stayed at the Novatel. Only a 40 min drive into Kuta and an hour from Ubud so all in all a great location. The unit was spacious and above all very clean and well maintained... great job Andrea Would definitely recommend to anyone who has a family and finds it hard to rent rooms altogether. The plunge pool was great for my husband and myself but one word of advice is to always keep the mozzie coils burning day and night.

“The real Bali” If you're going to Bali don't miss Ubud...and don't miss staying in Rumah Sawah Kita, a private villa in Penestanan a short walk from Ubud. The villa is exactly as described; beautifully decorated and comfortable with a beautiful garden including koi pond and a large deep pool that stays refreshingly cool. Every morning Wayan the lovely housekeeper prepares breakfast of fresh fruit, toast and strong coffee before making up your room and then leaving you to your privacy. We spent much of our time poolside with books, magazines and chilled beers. The location down a lane away from the main road is blissfully peaceful. Exploring the local area is best on foot along the zigzag lanes through the rice fields. Local galleries are full of interesting art for sale and the restaurants have delicious lunch and/or dinner. Ubud is a 20 minute walk (or short taxi ride) and there's plenty to see and get to learn about the local culture. If you have the time, try and see a Gamelan orchestra recital and also a Monkey Dance. Our hosts, Geoffrey and Michael, assisted with buying tickets to both. This was our second trip to Bali and won't be our last. Seminyak is great for the entertainment of bars and clubs. But our next trip will be back to stay again in Rumah Sawah Kita near Ubud, the real Bali.

“Beautiful villa and relaxed stay” This is a beautiful villa. Stunning during the day with superbly designed lighting at night especially in the huge garden. I've been to Bali many times and wanted to check out the quiet, north west and also have the opportunity for easy access to Menjangen Island. If you want to get away from the crazy commercial side of Bali, this is the place. The cook is excellent and will cook what ever you want - his chips/fries are fantastic as are his local Balinese dishes. There is a 'real' pool where you can swim lengths, a lovely bale to relax and in the evenings you can catch a movie in the well stocked living room. The bedroom design is excellent. Powerful aircon and dark night curtains so you can get a good sleep. Yes it's a long way from the south, but that's the point. Once you are here, you've got a villa, built and maintained to a high standard.
