“Great vacation!” Took our family to Costa Rica for the first time and stayed at the The Breeze annex. We had a party of six, the accommodations were perfect, plenty of room, privacy and a nice pool, close to town and the beach.

“Beautfiul views and excellent accomodations!!!” We spent 10 glorious days in Villa Hermosa. We had a great time. We made day trips to zip line, fishing, swimming with the turtles, howling monkey adventures (side by side thru the jungle). All arranged by our hosts. I even had to make a trip to the doctor. Our hosts were able to contact a private doctor. They fixed me up for $40.

“Amazing!!!” Have to say I was very impressed with all of Costa Rica, our Villa was top notch, super clean, amazing view and sounds of the ocean tucked away in a little cove. One night the sound of the waves crashing on the beach was so loud I had to wear earplugs :) The people are super friendly, the countryside very lush, initially I was a little apprehensive driving but turns out it's very easy to get around even with a big minivan (tks again Economy rentals). Service and info provided by Caesar the Villa manager was great, he helped us pick a couple of excursions, I highly recommend the sunset cruise!! Restaurant on site had amazing food and service, Laura was an amazing waitress, many tks!!

“Fantastic villa,” Just returned from a very relaxing chilled week, The house was lovely...upon arrival we where met by Bob who showed us round and welcomed us to villa Margareta! chilled wine and beer awaited us while we kicked back and took in the amazing view of the ocean!! We had the pleasure of watching the monkeys feed in the trees and the odd iguana stroll through the garden! and woke to the sounds of the howlers a fantastic find a would defiantly recommend a visit to this villa, Oh and excellent cocktails at Gusto's on the beach!!

“Dream vacation in Costa Rica” We considered staying at a hotel during our week in Costa Rica but were most fortunate to have found Villa Encatada. The pictures on the website looked beautiful, but it was beyond expectations when we got there. The house was not only richly decorated, but had very comfortable beds and lots of outdoor furniture to lounge and enjoy spectacular scenery. Un believable landscaping. Our teenage kids enjoyed the slide and pool with fishing poles and kayaks available to play around with on the pond. Our whole family spent several hours hiking what looked like any State Park in the United States right there at the Villa. There were very well maintained trails through the woods and along a beautiful waterfall. The owner checked in with us every day to make sure everything was working OK and was so helpful in arranging some of the activities (white water rafting -through Wave Expeditions- absolutely a fantastic ride and great guides and Zip lines through Selvatura- also highly recommended activity if you like adventure and thrill. We did go to the beach one day but because of the road construction ended up taking us 4 hours ( I would recommend staying overnight rather than a day trip for that one). We also went to the Baldi Hot Springs which was about an hour a way-good if you have kids because of the slides that they also have in addition to the cemented hot pools-nice clean park. We were able to go into the town of New Arenal which was less than 10 minutes away and do grocery shopping, however we really enjoyed the restaurants Moyas, Los Establos-authentic tica food, and great German cooking at the German bakery in town and La Rana. We very much hope to return one day to Villa Encatada.

“Wonderful stay at the Red Sunset” Our six night stay at the Red Sunset of Guanacaste was wonderful. We were part of a two family group (9 people including 4 adults and 5 kids) and really appreciated the ample space this home provided. The kids all had their own bedrooms and bathrooms which was great! We loved the flexibility of having breakfasts ready for us each morning at whatever time was most convenient for us. Such yummy food...and what a variety! Icy fruit smoothies every day, eggs, pancakes, french toast, fresh hashbrowns, quiche, fresh fruit...it was all so good! The views are absolutely spectacular. We also enjoyed watching the weather pass through - one minute it was pouring rain, and the next, the clouds would race by and blue sky would peek out. The kids loved using the pool and heated Jacuzzi every evening. Patrick was very accommodating and did an excellent job helping us plan out our activities for the trip, including making the necessary phone calls and reservation arrangements. Two nights of our stay we had Patrick prepare and serve dinners for us. That is definitely the way to do it! He is an excellent cook and was more than willing to make a variety of foods to suit all of us, including the two of us who are pescatarians. Delicious! We really couldn't have asked for better service. Jaime, the driver Patrick arranged for us, was an excellent driver, a very friendly guy, and gave us many great recommendations about Costa Rica as well. Our favorite activities of the trip were the zip lining at arenal and a river float by Safaris Corobici. What amazing wildlife! For those visiting the area, most of the activities that we did were near Volcano arenal and are about an hour from the house - but the drive is right along the lake and is full of beautiful scenery!
