“nice and comfortable place for a small family” A very nice apartment, private. It had the basic amenities. There are satires stock with every home requirement. Food items, toiletries, clothesvetc. There was easy access to tourist sites. The host was
“Outstanding Villa to stay” As there is always some trepidation of doing something for the first time. I intended to embark on short holidays to Accra and decided to rent Tilly Villa for a week but I ended up staying for over two weeks. This because of

Thanks for the review Aksel. As we have discussed via email, some of the points you brought up were a bit of an unpleasant surprise and we would have been very happy to try to address them if we had known earlier. In the end, I am glad you had an overall nice stay, and I am sorry for the inconveniences.
There are a few things I would like to mention since many future (potential!) guests will read this:
- Cleaning. There seems to have been a lot of miscommunication between the cleaner and the guests. Aksel's girlfriend took over the cleaning without informing us that they were unhappy with the cleaner, and the cleaner seems to have understood this as the guests' preference not to have an outsider involved in their affairs.
We do have a clean and well maintained apartment, but once guests are in the apartment, we allow them to coordinate the cleaning schedule as they wish. Unfortunately - tautologically - we can't make sure the cleaning is being done if we don't know that it is not being done.
- Equipment. We do have pots, pans and plentiful lighting that has been sufficient for many guests, but we seem to have run into a problem of mismatched expectations. To be clear, we are not equipped for elaborate meals (this is not the apartment to host your next Topchef Accra edition tournament!), but most simple meals should be covered.
“Great Place to stay in Accra lovely family” It is located a little bit outside of Accra, on a Hill with a nice view. Angela and Thomas are taking care for Your needs. I really felt like home there. It is possible to rent a good car too. This place off
“An oasis in the bustling city.” I went to this property after my family and I had suffered several bouts of malaria in central Ghana. We found the house to be very spacious (our family size is eight people), clean and practical. The kitchen is large a
The road to the villa is an uphill struggle to say the least. The location is not as near to the beach as I had hoped. Walking to the beach is difficult, as you need to meander through local residen… More
Thank you for your comments and we have certainly noted the issues you have mentioned in your review, albeit that not all of them were communicated to us. We are always improving our villa building and surroundings and also the services we provide to large groups and to individuals. We are only too happy to get constructive feed-back.
We hope you visit us again soon!
Staff and Management
The people of Ghana are famed for giving the friendliest welcome in Africa. A former British colony, Ghana is rich in gold and was one of the first countries in Africa to become independent. There are remnants of the country’s European links, as well as colourful traditional festivals. Ghana also has a rich and lush landscape, with rainforests in the south and west and new reserves such as Kakum National Park opening up to preserve the amazing wildlife. The capital is Accra, a city with a real African flavour – check out Makola and Kaneshie markets and the shabby chic neighbourhood of James Town.

Luxury Serviced two bedroom apartment in Accra with swimming pool
Really home from home
The villa offers everything you need in a home. Staff are very helpful and location is just what I required as its within easy reach of central Accra and Tema. Lots of shops and bars in the area. Only down side is the very loud music from several bars that fills every room at night. Starts around 6pm and goes on till 1 or 2 am every night. Longer over the weekend. Quite irritating for me but if you are a night's out person you'll really have a good time here.
If like me you want to cook your own food, the kitchen has everything you need and there are shops and a super market nearby for all your groceries and drinks. The staff are always on hand to advice. Expenses quite reasonable. For 10 nights I spent about 120 cedis (about £20) on electricity and 70 cedis on 10gb wifi internet data. You can always get a local SIM card for your mobile and purchase data that way. Beware, air conditioners use a lot of electricity so if you can't afford it use the ceiling fans to cool down.
All in all such a great place and location, shame about the noise at night if you are a night's in person. …
9 Ensuite Room - The Flower Villa
Spacious and beautiful outdoor areas
Visited as a family with 3 children aged 8,10 and 13 years old.
Very spacious accommodation and gardens (kids reports best place for hide-and-seek ever).
Amenities were modern and clean. Water pump in place to ensure nice showers.
Kids enjoyed table tennis, mini golf and basket ball facilities.
Outdoor areas were plentiful, beautiful and relaxing - especially view from the roof terrace overlooking the sea and a nice breeze to cool you down.
Self catering worked well for our family. Shopping mall with supermarket (Shoprite) a short drive away.
A short walk to Bojo beach, the best beach in Accra in our opinion.
Go-kart track at the bottom of the hill enjoyed by all.
Only thing missing is a swimming pool, but we used pool at nearby hotel "Liberty" for a small fee.
Access to the flower villa was a 5 minute bumpy ride up the Bortianor hill.
We experienced a few electricity cuts, but an effective generator is in place.
The manager (Mr Light) did his best to make our stay enjoyable. I will most definitely recommend the flower villa to other guests. …
Excellent home away from home and great space for the investment.
My time at this home was both creative and restful. The lodge was an extremely productive environment. The staff and property managers took great care to provide for me during my month-long stay. And, the owner of the property was extremely patient and gracious with handling all of my questions prior to traveling to Ghana. Whenever I am in Ghana, I would wish for this place to be home. It is located outside of Accra and has a nearby market in the neighborhood. The community was quiet and friendly and open to newcomers.
Travelers should be reminded to check to on the power situation before arriving. But the property does have a generator to help out whenever electrical services are unavailable. …
Holiday Apartments House Siriboe
Very pleasant stay with wonderful, caring hosts !
My daughter and I were in Ghana, Accra on a holiday trip in January / February. We stayed in the 'Royal Palm Apartment' for three weeks and had the most pleasant and enjoyable experience. The hosts Birgit and John offered a great service right from the start and were very welcoming upon arrival, when picking my daughter and I up from the airport. The apartment was clean , well air conditioned, and very safe and comfortable, the other staff were also very accomodating. The morning after we arrived Birgit cooked us an unexpected and very scrumptious spring onion and sweet pepper omlette and fruit breakfast. Birgit and John provided great suggestions on places of interest which was very helpful. We will visit again ! …
