I'm glad you enjoyed the views and the location of the cottage. It's true that the house is quite old now - built in 1926 - and doesn't necessarily have the comfort of a top hotel, but I hope that was made clear in the information pack I sent you prior to arrival, especially as regards the stairs, as I'd certainly agree that it's not suited to young children or the elderly.
As regards the food and shampoo bottles, most of my guests have appreciated having some of these things on arrival, but I do take your point and will consider this for the future. If you do wish to return at any point, I'd be happy to offer you one free night during your stay.
