“A place for the artistic soul” On arrival we were greeted by Sue and Bill and shown to our little cottage. The pantry was stocked with delectable local produce suitable for eating in without having to venture to local shops. In no time we relaxed in the sitting room surrounded by books on Australian birds, flora and fauna. As we sipped our wine overlooking the billabong, ducks of all varieties landed and took off from the water. At dusk, Sue and Bill fed their three Airedale Terriers down by the billabong, while we barbecued our evening meal on the veranda. The evening sounds of the bush lulled us to sleep. Sue offered to pick up any extra provisions and delighted in showing us around their attractive secluded property. It was the perfect place to paint and I found the surroundings inspiring. Can't wait to return.
