I really love this review - not only does it describe the house, but also our intentions FOR the house and our guests far better than I could do myself. It IS a family home - my cousin and his family visit regularly and need to feel like they are walking back into their own house rather than an empty shell. We extend the welcome we give them on to our guests so that you too can enjoy a home from home - relax in the space, read the books, cook and eat delicious meals in the kitchen and wander the land on nice days with the freedom to relax, or experience the area, as you please.
I grew up having holidays in the homes of family friends, and that is the atmosphere we've tried to create at Deelin. Not only do I feel that this is a more pleasurable way to holiday - better than the impersonal nature of a hotel, and more welcoming than an empty holiday home that has been stripped bear of anything representing the 'home' side of it's name - it is what makes a stay in Deelin Mor special, so thank you for describing it so well!
From our side, it was wonderful to have you and your family and friends visit over Christmas. You looked after the house like old friends would, treated it and us with respect and were the perfect guests - do please come again.

Despite the sign (a legal requirement) the bull is really pretty docile and is settling in well to his new role of prospective father, though you are right to always be careful around farm animals. Hopefully he'll be very relaxed next time you come - or come in winter and he and his mates will be up the mountain and far away!
Thanks again for the review. We are delighted you enjoyed the house and the area so much and that it compared well with your more normal summer holiday spots. Do please come again.
