“Clean, fun, good customer service” Even though this cabin was an older unit and the bathroom/sink set up was a little weird, it was comfortable and clean, and customer service was great, with very prompt responses. There's a lot to do in the area, either organized or not. It's a great place for wheeled exploring, like atvs, dirt bikers and mountain bikers, but works pretty well for 2 and 4-footed explorers as well. Very family friendly. A DVD player and/or WiFi access in the unit would have been nice.

“This place was awesome!!!” Plenty of room and plenty to do for the entire family. Fishing, rafting, and horseback riding nearby. Playgrounds and a lake for kids to fish made for the perfect vacation for everyone.The staff was very organized and went out of their way to make the stay fun and enjoyable. The cabin is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. Would highly recommend Three Rivers Resort for one of your Best Vacations ever!!! My favorite part was the thrill of white water rafting, seeing the Big Horn Sheep, and of course the Hot Tub.

“Fabulous” We could not have asked for a better week in almont Colorado! The cabin was great and made great use of every square foot of space. The enclosed and outdoor deck was utilized daily and enjoyed by all. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Thank you for such a relaxing week away from home.

“It was fabulous!!” Our Corcoran Family Reunion was held here (for the 3rd time) with great success. Everything was super! Not all cabins had all the amenities but when you are vacationing -- you make do! Also, when the grown children are right next door we borrowed (can opener... better knife... etc) and put back in the right cabin before we left. Our Host and Hostess were the best!! “The Perfect Place and the Nicest People” I was looking for a place to celebrate my 30th birthday with 24 of my closest friends and our dogs and Three Rivers turned out to be perfect. We had tons if space, a good amount of privacy, and everyone at the resort was extremely friendly and accommodating! I will be back!

“A very peaceful and comfortable place to get away to.” Upon arriving at Three Rivers the staff greated us with warmth and cheerfulness. The cabin we stayed in was #23 which we found to be very charming and was settled in at the end of the row that gave a nice sense of privacy. The location is very nice because of the scenery and the close proximity to both Gunnison and Crested Butte. The restaurant had good food and very pleasant staff. We definitely enjoyed our stay and loved exploring the area, as this was our first trip to this part of Colorado. A very beautiful region and Three Rivers was a wonderful place to stay!

“So cozy, quaint, and perfect.” We had such a wonderful stay in almont in this cozy little cabin. Three Rivers is a great resort and the staff is always so kind and helpful. We have stayed here many times and will continue to stay here whenever we are in the area. It is an added bonus that they are pet friendly as we take our dogs with us wherever we can. The porch by the river is the perfect spot to sit back and relax. We love it here!

“Perfect location, cabin was well-equipped.” We loved the view of the Taylor River and the surrounding mountains. The cabin was clean, and had everything we needed for our 6 night stay. The staff at the office were great! They might want or consider chopping down the pine tree that covered part of the river view from the covered porch, but it was a lovely place to sit and enjoy the sound of the river.

“Peaceful, beautiful, soothing sounds of the Taylor River.” We stayed in cabin (although it looked more like a boathouse) 61 for two nights, and had a delightful time. We did respond to a promotion for a small cabin and rafting trip, small was not the word for that cabin. (number 7) So we upgraded to the cabin 61 and although we spent more than we were originally intending, we were much happier! Owners/managers, Doug, in particular couldn't have been more helpful. Nice people and nice place.

“Perfect Location” It would be tough to find a better location to spend some time in the Colorado rockies. The Taylor river is just feet from the porch and the fishing in the area is excellent. The cabin itself was clean and served us well. The loft works best for kids but we had two adults who slept there comfortably. The only complaint was that the couch cushions were completely crushed, making it an uncomfortable place to sit for extended periods. The resort staff met all of our needs, and the on-site restaurant was great. All in all, a great place to stay and we'll be back.

“What an awesome vacation” We had a wonderful time again this year. Upper Taylor and Lake Fork rafting. Totally worth it. Our raft guide Steve Kiem was terriffic. Staff at resort were very friendly and fun. The only thing that I would have to say bad about our cabin is that last year we had a patio table and chairs and for some reason the cabin next to us had it on their porch. Every cabin needs one, not just the picinic table. Guided fish trip was great, learned a lot about fly fishing. Can't wait to come back next year. See you in June. Donna Waegli

“Perfect vacation spot!” This unit had everything my husband and I needed! The location is great, right beside the Taylor River, away from campers and traffic. We enjoyed the large, covered outdoor deck, and the furnishings were modern and well-maintained. The bedroom is small but we only used it at bedtime. We didn't use the loft, but saw it would be good for small children. The kitchen was fully equipped with nice dishes & glassware, utensils and cookware. Even wine glasses and steak knifes. We were only able to book for 3 nights, but wished it could have been longer! 3 Rivers is just the right distance away from Gunnison, and not far to Crested Butte. We explored all around the area, but would have enjoyed staying right at the Resort the entire time. Fishing outside our door and a few miles away at the fish hatchery pond was fun (catch & release only). Others might enjoy rafting, kayaking, rock climbing, or mountain biking.

“What a wonderful get-away!” If you are looking to get off the beaten path and still have some of luxuries of home, this is the place! Great cabin, roomy, spotless and everything we needed to spend a few days on the Taylor River. The employees were extremely helpful and friendly, grounds were well maintained (even though they had just had snow, things were perfect!) and the cabin was wonderful! We were extremely impressed with the comfort of the cabin, all the beds were great, (no broke down sides like you find in most places), there were pots, pans and utensils so we were able to cook our meals and the dinnerware and flatware were very nice (ceramic, JCP dinnerware!). Full size fridge (with ice maker), dish washer, micro-wave, electric range with oven and a flat screen TV with plenty of channels if we opted to channel surf. We had a firepit, charcoal grill and picnic table at our site, all very well maintained. The firepit and grill had great grates so we were able to cook outside a few times. If you are tied to you cell phone and internet, this might be a challenge as we found our cell service was iffy and internet service is provided, but limited. We were not at all unhappy with this, we wanted an out of the way mini-vacation and did not want to be bothered with phones calls and work problems, our cabin at Three Rivers Resort fit the bill perfect! To add to this great little gem, you'll find many wonderful fly fishing holes within walking distance! We already have another stay booked and I'm sure before that date rolls around, we'll sneak another stay in! I would highly recommend Three Rivers Resort, great place, centrally located between Gunnison and Crested Butte and you couldn't find a greater bunch of owners/workers/every day folk! An FYI, there is not a blow dryer provided, so if you need one, better pack one. Have fun, it is a great place!
