“Wonderful!” Great location, beautiful condo, incredible attention to detail, clean, plentiful towels & linens, wonderful place for a summer or winter vacation as all needs met. Red wine & chocolates for our arrival, as well as lots of basic necessities supplied in kitchen & bathrooms! Owner was wonderful to deal with. Our family of four (two big teenagers) had a fantastic holiday & I would highly recommend this property to stay for a trip to aspen. Close to shuttle buses for ski resorts, short walk to all restaurants, great coffee shop (Victoria's), easy walk to City Market for groceries. Don't hesitate to book! :)

“Awesome vacation in Aspen!” We rented condo 305 for a week. Superb location right near town and mountain. The condo itself was nicely decorated with all we needed to make a few meals "at home". Perfect in most every way. The bunk bed bedroom was a bit too hot and the master shower didn't work the first day but as soon as we mentioned it as a problem it was fixed. Proximity to pool and jacuzzi a plus and amazing views. We would absolutely stay there again. Thank you so much! You even arranged one of the best powder days of the season while we were there!!

“Great place in a Great place!” Liftone is a great place to stay. It's well located and easy to walk to anywhere in Aspen. We stayed with our 9 and 1.5 year old daughters and thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

“Excellent!” The staff was exceptionally kind, courteous and helpful. I travel all year long and foundthis especially refreshing compared to even the better hotels and places I stay at. The small pool and largehot tub were very nice. There were other kids some of the time and my daughter wanted to go to the pool even more than she wanted to go to the fountain downtown. Perfect for small kids (she's 5). It's not extremely fancy, but it's better than you are going to expect. I like it almost as much as the Gant, which was twice the price. And it was closer to town. The location could hardly be better.

“Very nice” We loved Lift One. The central location was terrific and the condo was clean and user friendly. This is not a luxurious place, but it was incredibly comfortable and--I have no doubt--that I will return when I come back to Aspen.

“A trouble free, comfortable stay!” Everytime we've taken our family and extended family to aspen (Summer and/or Winter) over the past few years we've always stayed at Life One Condos. We've been very happy with all aspects of the property and staff for many years now. I did noticed however that Unit #406 (where other family members stayed while my family stayed in Unit #306) has a much newer and nicer finish-out than Until #306...has tile in lieu of carpet, wood floors, TVs in all rooms (and they're flat screens as opposed to old school tube TVs).

“Great value for downtown aspen!” This was our second stay at Lift One in 3 years. Great location for walking all around aspen. Management is very helpful. Accommodations are just as described. We love the hot tub (more than just a tub!) and pool. It's really a home away from home. We will definitely stay there again on our next trip to aspen.

“Wonderful Lodging and Beautiful Town” Our family stayed for a week at Lift One in august 2012. We really liked the two bedroom condo - it was a ground floor unit with very easy access. The kitchen was supplied with everything we needed. We liked the patio that faced the street to watch all of the activity going by (bike race folks, trail marathon, volleyball tournament). The location was a plus in that it was a short 3 block walk to the city center. There was a nice open park nearby. The on site staff was helpful and let us view one of the three bedroom units (we are planning to return with extended family). Overall, Lift One was a very pleasant experience and we plan to return again to Lift One this summer.

“Beautiful condos in a great location.” I've stayed in these condos several times and every one is slightly different. Most recently I stayed in a 2 bed 2 bath and it was perfect. It was decorated nicely and had everything we needed. The pool and hot tub in the complex are probably the best part of it. The hot tub is pretty large and is kind of a grotto style with rocks and running water. The location was also perfect for us since we were there for volleyball and it's right between both sand volleyball courts in aspen. It's also walking distance to a lot of good restaurants and clubs in downtown aspen. I will definitely be staying here again.

“marvelous 13 nights at lift one” We spent a splendid vacation with my husband and four grown up children. Confortable beds, bathrooms and complete kitchen. Cosy and spacious living room with 2 big sofas for more than 6 people and dining table with 8 chairs. Great yacuzzi and good laundry room. Near to bus stops and chair lift one. Nice distance to walk in the afternoon through the town o aspen. I would certainly return!

Aspen holidays

As one of the most desirable ski destinations in North America, Aspen, Colorado and the neighbouring cities of Vail, Frisco, and Breckenridge offer the perfect mix of fun winter activities with urban sophistication. Spend your days descending Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk, or Snowmass.

Play outdoors under the clear blue Colorado sun, then retreat back to your personal holiday rental At night, relax by the fireplace with friends and family, or unwind in the Jacuzzi, a luxury that many rentals offer. Leave the car at home, and hop aboard Aspen's free city shuttle that will get you to the gondola in minutes, located just a short walk away from many rentals.

Aspen is home to great shopping, and offers a number of art and souvenir shops, antique stores, boutiques and ski outfitters. Visiting during the summer months? Not to worry, there is plenty of outdoor fun to be had. Take a hiking or kayaking trip into the wild, listen to live music, or dine atop Aspen Mountain.

Here are a few additional suggestions:

  • See a performance at The Wheeler Opera House: Established in 1889, this venue offers a variety of performers and has featured both Sheryl Crow and Jerry Seinfeld in the past.
  • Experience live music outdoors: Enjoy the Snowmass Village Free Summer Concert Series, which offers a variety of musical genres throughout the summer, including reggae and jazz. These concerts are held on Snowmass Mountain, where many guests bring a blanket and picnic outside.
  • Visit the John Denver Sanctuary: Fans will be happy to find Aspen's John Denver Sanctuary, with its rolling grassy hills and granight rocks featuring lyrics from Denver's most popular songs.
  • Join an Aspen tradition: Celebrate one of the biggest ski Mardi Gras celebrations in the country that includes n"justify" Maui remains, as Hawai'i's second-largest island, amazingly pristine - offering both the native wilderness of Hana and the upscale resorts of Wailea, Kaanapali and Kapalua, the deep history of Lahaina and the modern conveniences of Kahului, the family farms of Upcountry and the billion-dollar industries of the Maui Research & Technology Park in Kihei.

Maui has been called the heart chakra of the Hawaiian Islands, a place that opens the heart and calms the mind. The island hosts a rainbow of races, religions and cultures - a warm and gracious people. Residents are still cognisant of Hawaii's old-style ways and they still take the time to talk story, watch the sunset, and extend easy hospitality. With temperatures averaging a balmy 75 to 85 degrees, cooled by soft trade winds, visitors find all the little worries just slipping away.

For an unprecedented 20th time, Maui captured "Best U.S. Island" in the 25th annual Conde Nast Traveller Readers' Choice Awards Poll. The publication also deemed Maui "Best Island in the World" as the Hawaiian Island bested every single island and city named to the poll.

And this elite status isn't hard to understand. Maui is home to stunning native flora and fauna; hidden tropical waterfalls; rolling pastureland; steep, rocky cliffs; and some of Hawaii's most stunning sunsets, framing the islands of "Maui Nui" ("Big Maui" or Maui County): Maui, Molokini, Kahoolawe, Lanai and Molokai. With red, black and white sand, Maui's beaches have consistently been chosen by "Dr. Beach" Stephen Leatherman as ranking amongst the best beaches in the U.S. Kapalua, Kaanapali and Wailea beaches have also been named amongst his top 40 choices as the "healthiest" beaches in the country, based on water quality, amenities, safety and environmental factors.

Glitter and the good life thrive on Maui, too. Enlightened farmers, fertile soil, and brilliant, world-renowned chefs give Maui a cachet that has circled the globe. From Makawao and Kula to Central, South and West Maui, from rubber-slipper casual to elegantly chic, restaurants of all types draw an international and local clientele. The top resorts offer food and wine festivals that are signature events every year: Kapalua Wine & Food Festival; Kaanapali Fresh; Taste of Lahaina; Taste of Wailea; the Maui Onion Festival in Kaanapali.

For families, Maui offers myriad adventures that turn into family stories told again and again in the years to come. There's something about Maui that really works for bringing a family closer together. It begins with sunrise in a warm, crystal-clear sky. The climate and natural beauty suggest that it's time to slow down. There's no hurry to "get somewhere" - unless, perhaps, out onto the beach for an early morning swim or stroll.

Where to stay? Your call! How about spacious condominiums for the family with all the amenities of home? While luxury resorts line Maui's south and west shores, moderately priced accommodations abound in neighbouring resort areas, and in Central and Upcountry Maui.
