The West Poland/Sudeten Mountains region

Silesia as the province in the Polish West is characterised by landscapes ranging from big plains to steep mountains, fields and forrests. Climate is already continental resulting in hot summers that tend to be dry and warm. The sudeten mountains offer possibilities for hiking in summer and skiing in winter. Due to the low degree of population density this western part of Poland offers real relaxation. On the other hand its cultural heritage presents many hidden beauties and places worth a visit. Only a few are the monastery in Lubiaz is not to be missed. Around Wroclaw and towards the sudeten mountains there are a lot of manor houses or castles worth a visit, as many of them were transformed in hotels or restaurants.

Sobótka is a small town in the south of Wroc?aw. It is located at the foot of mount Sl?za. Sobótka is the administrative center, cultural and tourist attraction of the region. The city is situated at an altitude of 160 - 220 m above sea level., Just 34 km from Wroc?aw and is the oldest trade settlement in Silesia. The city's history has always been associated with great mountain Sleza - formerly Sobótka.

The main strengths of Sobotka are great lush nature, the beauty of the mountain scenery, clean air and a great location. A good system of communication, a short distance from important route Wroclaw - Kudowa and Wroclaw - Jelenia Gora makes Sobotka a tourist attraction for residents of other regions of the country, as well as tourists from abroad (mainly Germany and the Netherlands).
