Recently completed and furnished to the highest standard, this family owned ground floor apartment with terrace and large private enclosed garden is set on a fantastic new development Al Andalus Thalassa. There are 2 large outdoor swimming pools with children's splash pool, tennis courts and children's playground, all set in beautiful landscaped gardens with water features throughout. For the golfers there are 4 top class courses near-by including Europe's first desert course - desert springs.
For the energetic there is a small gym area. If you would rather just relax and unwind, guests enjoy the exclusive use of an indoor Swimming pool and Spa centre, which includes sauna, Jacuzzi, steam room and water jet circuit.This largely undiscovered coast of Spain is ideal for relaxing family holidays, couples and golfers looking for cheaper and less crowded golf than other areas of Spain. The regions only water park is just 1km away from the apartment, great fun for all the family with wave machines, water slides and large swimming pools.
New Bar/Restaurant La Peperina, just opened 10 mins walk away.

All guests are met at the apartment by English speaking key holder, who will be happy to help you with any aspect of your holiday e.g recommending good beaches, shops and restaurants.
Conditions
Prices are per week in UK Pounds. £75 non-refundable deposit (per week) secures your booking. Balance payable 6 weeks prior to departure. Short breaks available all year round, (minimum 3 nights). Airport pick-ups, Car Hire and welcome packs can be arranged by request.
Changover flexible where possible. Apartment is available from 3pm on day of arrival. Apartment to be vacated by 10am on day of departure.
Outdoor Swimming pools open 15th May - 15th October. Indoor pool open 1st Oct - 31st May.

The Costa de Almeria region
The province of Almería offers pleasures which are hard to come by in the Mediterranean: over 100 km. of untamed coastline, and landscapes of outstanding beauty.
The peculiarities of the landscape and the bountiful Almerían climate have made this province the perfect place to locate a substantial film industry, and the region has played host to some of the most famous stars of the screen.
Its untouched beaches in the east with miles of wide golden sand and the larger tourist centres in the west offer a quality destination for the more demanding traveller. Its exceptional coastline borders the Cabo de Gata-Nijar Nature Reserve, with long sandy beaches and secluded coves bathed by the warm waters of the Mediterranean. The traditional festivities of the Moors and the Christians will transform your trip to Almería into a wonderful adventure.
The Vera Playa / Al Andalus Thalassa area
Vera is a delightful 'typically spanish' town, about a 10 minute drive inland from the apartment, It is home to a beautiful old town square with church, lovely gardens and a bullring. It is a vibrant town with plenty of shops, boutiques, fantastic restaurants and a large street market on Saturdays.
About 10 minutes drive away is Garrucha, a bustling and lively fishing town that still retains much of its original spanish charm. It is famous for its “Garrucha prawns” and sea food – caught fresh every day in the local waters. Garrucha has a magnificent beach and promenade with an excellent selection of cafe's and bars with many superb seafood restaurants found along the seafront serving the fresh catch of the day. There is a weekly market on Fridays.
Mojacar Pueblo, the world-famous ancient Moorish village is located on the top of a mountain looking out to sea from a 172 metre high vantage point. In its narrow white streets pretty cube-like whitewashed houses are perfumed by lovely flowers which decorate the house-fronts. In June, Mojacar Pueblo boasts the fantastic Moors and Christians festival with mock battles, fireworks, music and giant paellas, with a street market on Wednesdays. The village ia about 20 minutes drive from the apartment.
The blue flag beach of Vera playa is just 5 mins by car offering miles of quiet golden sand to relax with the family. A small part of the the beach is classed as a naturist area. Many other excellent beaches just a short drive away including San Juan, Garrucha and Mojacar all with lifeguards and beach bars in summer months. Also the Cabo de Gata National park with many beautiful hidden coves is 45 minutes away by car.

We were looking for a last-minute escape from the horrible cold weather in the UK and found this apartment was perfect for a relaxing and stress-free break. The apartment has everything you need including toys and sports/swimming equipment. It is modern and clean, has lots of books, guides and information about the area. We found the garden in front of the apartment a great sun trap and, as we have two young kids, I think they benifitted from this grassy area more than if we had stayed in an upstairs apartment with a balcony and terrace. It is less than a minute from the indoor pool, jaccuzzi, sauna, gym which, at this time of the year, was nice and quiet. In fact, the complex itself was very peaceful yet the temperatures were averaging almost 25 deg C which is more than enough for us. The tennis/paddle courts were always free and you could just turn up and play. Perfect really. Stuart, the owner was excellent with the booking throughout. Communication was efficient and helpful. We have booked a lot of these kind of holidays over the years and, for us, good correspondence from the owners is really important. In that respect, this property is highly recommended. I would also add that Dave and Anita (the housekeepers) were also really helpful. The TV broke whilst we were there and between them and Stuart they ensured that it was replaced without any fuss straight-away. The impression we had was that Stuart and Rebecca genuinely care about their guests and the quality of their stay at all times. Another note, when we were looking for the holiday, we found a lot of the apartments charge an extra 40-50 euros cleaning at the end of your stay. This one doesn't and this is another reason why we chose it. Overall, we would highly recommend this apartment and will be returning again in the near future. Our family (2 kids – 5 years and 5 months) stayed in this apartment since end of September till middle of December and place was perfect. First of all it's in great location – nice beaches in the north (on the way to Aguilas) and amazing spots in the south (Cabo de Gata). It is close i.e. to Tabernas (western movies studios) and just 100 km away from Almeria. Initially we even had an idea to make one day trip to Sierra Nevada for skiing, however we found that 3 hours one way (and 3 h back) ride is too long and is better to rent an apartment in Sierra Nevada for couple of nights. Besides in surrounded villages (Vera, Villaricos, Garrucha, Mojacar) are a lot of interesting and nice restaurants to sit for a cup of coffee or to have a lunch or dinner. It was little bit sad that Aqua Park was closed during our visit; however complex indoor pool, saunas and gym compensated it perfectly. And we could not wish more as indoor pool was just 50 meters away from the apartment. Complex where the apartment is located is nice, clean, safe and well maintained. It was sad and little bit strange that outdoor pools have been closed starting from 1st of October (outside temp was about 28C), but complex was quite empty at that moment too. Apartment have large garden where children can play. And there are LOTS of toys for them as well (and for different age kids too). Actually we found here everything what we needed during our stay. However should note few minor shortcomings as well –there are few steps from garden to side walk and it was little bit difficult with baby buggy (of course without it we wouldn't noticed that at all:)). Internet is just public in two complex locations, but was operating just in one and not the closest one:). We recommend this apartment and definitely would come back. Great place, very clean and quiet. We went with the children for Christmas and New Year. Children: 9 and 13 years. Pool is open daily, weather around 22 degrees. Apartment very clean, well maintained and very well equipped with essential if you prefer self catering. We are more inclined to relax and just ate in restaurants. Owner very helpful and honest. We were in Andalus Thalassa second time, and they would still go back and certainly will use the same apartment. RECOMMENDED 100%. Thank you Stuart.
