Tucked into the lush mountainside above Coral Bay, behind an electronic gate, Great Turtle Villa is a casually elegant vacation villa with four bedrooms in two two-story pavilions bisected by a pool.

Rent 1, 2, 3 or all 4 bedrooms while enoying access to the full house, decks, and pool. Honeymoon couple? Rent 1 bedroom. Girls' getaway? Rent all 4 bedrooms. Rates vary depending on the number of bedrooms booked.

Located in the Coral Bay area, the quieter side of beautiful St. John, in the neighborhood of Upper Carolina, Great Turtle Villa is accessed via all paved roads, a rarity on St. John and a welcome amenity in a tropical downpour. Large lots, lush foliage and upscale homes give the neighborhood an aura of comfort and privacy. Enter the villa through an electronic gate providing additional privacy, security and it keeps the wild donkeys out!

The front door of the larger pavilion's main level opens onto the attractive living and dining areas and the fully-equipped gourmet kitchen with a marble-topped work table and breakfast bar. In the living area, a flat-screen TV, stereo, DVD, plus music and video libraries, provide indoor entertainment. The fully-equipped kitchen boasts stainless appliances, granite counters and enough dishes, bakeware and pans to satisfy the most particular chef. Hand-polished mahogany screened french doors open onto spacious shaded decks with cushy rockers and inviting chaises perfect for enjoying the cool tradewinds. An outdoor walkway above the pool and courtyard garden leads to the other pavilion with its Yellow Bedroom suite. An open staircase heads down beside the garden, passing exquisite orchids and a stately coconut palm, as it leads to the pool level with three more bedrooms and a home office.

All four equal size bedrooms open onto large decks with dazzling views, have AC, adjoining baths and walk-in closets making Great Turtle Villa a perfect vacation rental for friends or families to share. No one gets stuck in the "back bedroom with no view". The pool, just steps from your bedroom, is perfect for a morning dip to a midnight swim. The lush courtyard garden ensures total privacy for swimming or sunning on the deck. When children are present, to keep them safe, self-locking gates around the pool can be utilized. The house is equipped with wireless high-speed internet. The home office has a printer, fax and copier.

Just minutes from fabulous National Park beaches and the funky bars and restaurants of Coral Bay, your villa's central location allows easy access to both sides of St. John. Cruz Bay is only a 20 minute drive away and all the best hiking trails are within easy reach.

Everything about Great Turtle Villa invites you to relax. Spend the day in the cushy rockers on the deck or let your cares slip away as you lounge by the pool. The Caribbean-style decor offers a comfortable mix of inviting antiques and pleasant elegance. The villa's lush tropical gardens are filled with scarlet bougainvillea and rainbow-colored hibiscus. How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
