Located in the historic core of the city (declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site) this beautiful stone house has been in the family for generations and has been carefully renovated in keeping with its original charm. This spacious apartment occupies the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors of the house, contrasting the restored historical features of the house with all the perks of a new renovation. Newly finished hard-wood floors and exposed stone work can be seen throughout. On the second floor you will find an ample living room, a new eat-in kitchen and a spacious new bathroom with a walk-in shower. The house's original stone hearth has been preserved and incorporated into the new kitchen. It's fully-equipped with range, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee maker, microwave and all the cookware, cutlery, etc needed for preparing home-cooked meals. The living room, featuring original stone alcoves, is furnished with a large sofa that converts into a bed for 2 persons, a large expandable dining table, and wide-screen HDTV. Take the stairs up to the next floor of the house, passing old family photos spanning 5 generations, and you will find two spacious bedrooms. The master bedroom features a king-size bed and views of the Cathedral, while another bedroom has a queen size bed, a comfortable sofa and exposed stonework. Go up one more floor and you will find a sunny loft, with a divan as well as 2 individual beds that can be placed together for couples. Curl up on the sofa with a good book, or peep out of the skylight for unparalleled views of the Cathedral and rooftops of Santiago de Compostela! Guests will enjoy free wireless internet (wi-fi) and the house is equipped with a new heating and air conditioning system.

Situated in the heart of the monumental district on the lively Rua Nova – just step outside the house and you will be enveloped in the history of the city. Follow the way of St. James to it's final destination: the renowned pilgrimage site of the Catedral de Santiago. Wander the lively stone streets under arcades and through enchanting passageways, through beautiful parks and secluded cloisters, to discover the many wonders of the city. As you go for a stroll you can enjoy typical music of the region offered by musicians on the surrounding streets and plazas. An amazing array of restaurants, cafes, shops, museums, bars, markets are just outside the door so you can easily sample the vibrant life of this city! And if you fancy a day trip, Galicia offers destinations galore: from exploring big cities and charming towns, to trekking through mountain trails and virgin forests, visiting solitary lighthouses atop dramatic sea-side cliffs or soaking in the sun on the coast's unspoilt beaches – you can have it all within a half hour's drive. If you have your own car, a public parking garage is just 2 minutes from the house under the Plaza de Galicia.

Esta hermosa casa de piedra se encuentra justo en el centro histórico de Santiago de Compostela, en una calle peatonal a dos pasos de la famosa Catedral de Santiago. La casa lleva muchas generaciones siendo de la familia, y ha sido cuidadosamente restaurada manteniendo su encanto original.

Este amplio apartamento ocupa el 2-4º piso de la casa. La segunda planta tiene un gran salón/comedor, una cocina nueva (incorporando el antiguo fogon de piedra) completamente equipada y cuarto de baño con placa de ducha. El salon, con alcobas de piedra originales, tiene un gran sofá-cama, una mesa de comedor extensible, y HDTV. El siguiente piso de la casa tiene 2 dormitorios grandes y luminosos; uno con vistas de la Catedral, cama king y sofa cama individual, el otro con cama matrimonial y sofa. En el proximo piso esta el loft, con sofa cama y 2 camas individuales que pueden juntarse para parejas. Asomese por el tragaluz para disfrutar de la vista de la Catedral y los tejados de Santiago de Compostela! La casa tiene piedra a la vista (lo tipico!), suelos de madera recien barnizados y fotos antiguas de la familia adornando las paredes, WiFi, calefaccion / aire acondicionado.

En pleno corazón de la zona monumental, solo tiene que salir a la calle para sumarse al encanto de la ciudad. Siga el camino de Santiago a su destino final: el famoso lugar de peregrinación de la Catedral de Santiago. Pasee por las calles de piedra bajo los arcos y por callejones estrechos, a través de hermosos parques y claustros, para descubrir las maravillas de la ciudad. Podra disfrutar de música típica de la región gracias a los músicos que abundan en las calles y plazas de los alrededores. Una increíble variedad de restaurantes, cafeterías, bares, tiendas, museos, mercados están justo al lado de la casa! Si viene en coche, hay un parking publico a sólo 2 minutos del apartamento, debajo de la Plaza de Galicia.

How do damage deposits work?

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send NYC-Mad (the owner) a message.

If NYC-Mad (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
