Blueberry Hill, set in five acres, is a traditional hand hewn two-bedroom log cabin (sleeps maximum of four, this includes children) sitting at 3,500 feet surrounded by hard wood trees and mountain views.

Blueberry Hill has two great outdoor areas, a large deck at the front of the cabin for the children to play and an infra-red sauna for the adults to relax and get rid of all those built-up toxins from your body. There is a secluded courtyard at the rear with picnic table and BBQ to enjoy a peaceful supper or a quiet place to read a book and relax during the day. There is also a fire pit for the evening smores.

The cabin is a two- minute drive from Nantahala Lake, which has a Restaurant and a marina for boat hire. The local area has many wonderful outdoor activities, hiking, fishing, whitewater, ziplining to name a few.

The investment in mini generators were required for all our cabins to allow our guests to at least have contact the the outside world! We are so glad you liked the cabin and enjoyed your stay.

Thank you so much for your review. Not sure why its here on TA because you did not book it through Trip Advisor, you booked via phone at 10:30pm the night before your arrival. I guess you just want to get your bad review to as many people as possible so found us on TA. You did not pay $185 night for the cabin you paid $140 night the rest of payment were taxes and cleaning fee.. As for the food in the small town of Andrews, you were told over the phone every restaurant in the town and you knew what to expect a Mexican, Italian, Pizza & craft beer, Kobe Grill and McDonalds. In regards to your cell phone -you obviously did not read the check-in sent to you because it informed you of no cell service in the immediate area of the cabin, because we are in the heart of the Nantahala National Forest and that is why we put a phone in the cabin and wifi, but your cell phone did work while you were in town, so if you had an emergency you were well covered. As for the hot tub, which was the real issue you had, when you came to the mountains, we were actually having very, very cold weather and temperatures were well below freezing, that was the problem why it could not heat up, and we did explain that to you and we did apologize. Sometimes things happen in life that are beyond a persons control, and we have no control over an artic freeze coming to the mountains at 3,500ft - and yes, with mountain views!. Most people would have understood. This cabin is not really for minimalists, it is made of hand hewn hemlock logs with handcrafted furnishing and views of mountains from your lounge. It is for people who want to get away from city life for a while and experience nature and also have adventures, whitewater rafting, zip lining, hiking, boating on the lake, etc. As said before, sorry about the hot tub.

Why can't I call Steve (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Steve (the owner) a message.

If Steve (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
