Villa | 3 bedrooms | sleeps 6
Our Laguna Villa is conveniently located within a gated community in a tranquil area that looks west to Hua Hin's surrounding hills. Laguna is approximately 2 kilometers from the sandy north beach at Hua Hin, 3.5 kilometers from the idyllic beach south of the headland, 2 kilometers from the impressive 'Market Village' shopping and entertainment complex, and smaller shops, restaurants and bars range from 0.5 kilometers to 4 kilometers.
Laguna is therefore near enough to the town and beaches to be convenient, yet offers peace and solitude. Hua Hin is widely regarded as one of the best golfing destinations in South East Asia, with a wealth of top quality courses all within a 30 minute drive of the town. Water sports are also popular, as is freshwater and sea fishing.
Hua Hin has two elephant parks, and is close to some dramatic national parks. Many secluded coves, waterfalls, and caves are close by and are well worth a visit. A new floating market has recently opened.
There is a tuktuk service available to take you into Hua Hin village in the morning and return in the afternoon ,there is a small charge which at the time of writing is 50 baht but please clarify this with the guard at the gate.. Other times can be booked. again, you can arrange it with the security guard at the gate.
We can arrange for a taxi transfer from Bangkok airport /train station/ hotel to the villa if required.

The Central Thailand/Bangkok region
Lying to the south west of Bangkok, the region enjoys a mild climate all year round; even in the rainy season (which isn't as wet as it sounds) you can get a nice tan. The beach to the north of Hua Hin's famous headland (Hua Hin means 'Stone Head') is lined with small boutique bars and hotels where you can lounge on a sun bed and enjoy very reasonably priced food and drinks served to you on the sand.
Water sport activities are available, ranging from scuba diving to kite-boarding and jet-ski hire, and you can canter a horse through the shallows. This may paint a picture of a lively beach, but the reality is quite different. It is never too busy or frenetic; there is always space and always a relaxing mood. We like the fact that there are no roads immediately behind the beach ( the main road through the town is about 200 metres away, behind the small hotels and large houses), which contributes to the peaceful quality.
If the north beach offers all the facilities you might need in a quiet setting, then the south beach is positively tranquil; in fact you can stand close to the headland, look far to the south along its seemingly endless curve, and hardly see another living soul. Here the fine sand is backed by a few small traditional bars and cafes where you can hire a lounger and enjoy simple (but of course excellent) Thai food, a cool beer or soft drinks and ice creams. Here, it’s more about the sand, sea, sky, and you.
Thailand’s first marine national park, Khao Sam Roi Yot ('300 peaks'), is approximately 35 km to the south. Additionally, in Kanchanaburi province there are five more national parks; Erawan, Sai Yoke, Sri Nakarin, Khao Laem and Chalerm Rattanakosin, all of which are easily accessible. There are two elephant parks in Hua Hin, where you can ride and feed the animals. If you wish to venture further, Kaeng Krachan National Park extends along the Burmese border from Petchburi Province, north of Hua Hin.
Hua Hin offers a more sedate evening out compared to, say, Phuket, Pattaya or Bangkok. Hua Hin has something for everyone; singles, couples and families alike can all enjoy themselves here. While there are a couple of nightclubs, nightlife centers more on the restaurants and bars (both quiet and lively). The mood in the soi's at night is magical....as one well-travelled friend of ours who stayed with us said, ''there is something special about Hua Hin''.
The transition from a small fishing village to a small cosmopolitan resort has brought with it a diversity of cuisine. While most other Thai holiday resorts cater mainly to tourists from abroad, Hua Hin is a destination for both Thai and foreign holiday makers, so although Thai and Chinese seafood reins surpreme here, there are also many excellent restaurants offering everything from pasta and pizza to Indian curries and classic international dishes.
Hua Hin is still true to its roots; fish and seafood is literally world class, and the local restaurateurs are experts in making the most of the riches available to them. Restaurants are plentiful, many dotting each soi, some on small piers jutting a little way out to sea where you can eat under the stars; wherever, they all tend to be small and friendly places, where you can enjoy good service and memorable food at reasonable prices.
For centuries traditional Thai massages and therapies have been administered and enjoyed; a visitor to Hua Hin should not miss the treatments and massages available at the numerous spas, which range from the 'basic' to the five star. Even the basic spas offer expert treatments and therapies in relaxing surroundings.
Hua Hin is regarded as one the best golfing destinations in South East Asia with a wealth of top quality courses all within a 30 minute drive of the town centre. The choice and quality of courses is superb, and further details can be provided on request.
For those interested in fresh water fishing, try Hua Hin Fishing Lodge. This is found some 10 km from central Hua Hin on the road to Pala-U. The sport to be had there is dramatic.
