This lovely 2 bed apartment has all you require for a wonderful relaxing holiday. There is a small balcony to sit, eat and drink, or you could lie out on the large patio areas to take full advantage of the Spanish sun. Then just a short 3 minutes' walk and you will be relaxing by the community pool. Venture a little further and you can be on the blue flag beach at Guardamar (10 minute drive through the lemon groves) Also in Guadamar are two wonderful parks, the Alfonso and the Renia Sofia. The pine trees and sand dunes of the Alfonso Park connect the town to the marina and provide a flat walking and cycling route. The Reina Sofia Park has shady trees, rolling grass hills, manmade ponds and many resident squirrels, ducks, terrapins and peacocks! It has an adventure playground area which is floodlit and the nearby children's funfair and night market (both summer only) make for a good evening out. There are many shops and on Wednesday they have a very busy market. Or why not try the beaches of La Marina again a short drive away. The village of La Marina has a high street with a small selection of shops, bars and cafes. You can relax on the sandy beach, picnic underneath the pine trees or take a walk through the sand dunes in the El Pinet Natural Park.

Rojales is on the bank or the River Segura and makes up a stop on the Rio Segura walking and cycling route. It is easy to stroll around Rojales as you always come back to the river, which has a large waterwheel and friendly ducks! There is a town hall and tourist office, the Teatro Capital theatre, a street market once a week, a viewing point from the iconic restored windmill, the Cuveas del Rodeo artists cave houses, the 18 hole La Marquesa Golf Course and the Parque Aquatico water park (open in the summer months) again this is less than 5 minutes away in the car or for those that enjoy a stroll you can walk in 10-15 minutes, the golf course with it's fabulous new bar and swimming pool open for everyone is just a 5 minute walk down the hill. There you will find many fabulous restaurant including the new Indian , Asian/Chinese and the Mexican Steak House , and many more, and if you want to relax by the pool and watch your favourite soaps on the TV as well , you can self-cater using the local supermarket with is just behind the golf club or there is a great Aldi Store just 10 mins drive away.

What else could you want, well if you like Tennis, bowls or horse riding they are all in the area plus a ten pin bowling alley. Bird watching by the salt lakes, or shopping in the shopping mall by the Carrefour supermarket, or the very new shopping mall just down the N322 towards La Zenia. I am based in the UK so not available during your holiday, however my neighbours who look after the apartment for you are available should you have any questions or need directions somewhere. Depending on your time of arrival you will be met by my neighbours, however if they are not available we will arrange to leave the keys in a key safe at the front door, and provide you with the key number.

Hi Sarah, thank you so much for your review, October is a lovely month to travel we visited just after you in November and the weather was still great. The bars and restaurants are all still open but not so busy as in the summer months, same with the beaches. A short break at this time of year is a real treat to set you up for winter months. How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Nicky (the owner) a message.

If Nicky (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
