This modern 2 bedroom 3 bathroom single storey villa with private pool is blessed with breath-taking views of the jungle and sea beyond. Recently completed in May 2013, it sits in a quiet cul-de-sac of 7 houses at the top of a beautiful winding private jungle road, it is only 5-10 mins drive from the centre of Chaweng (the main town with all the attractions) and 2 mins (1.6 km) to the main road, from which the nearest beach (Chaweng) can be accessed (via Fair House Hotel) - the longest and most popular beach. I like your stay to be easy, so i provide :-
- Free scooter * (subject to rider competency)
- Free airport collection
- Free mobile phone
The house's main advantage is it's wonderful peaceful views and beautiful emerald coloured pool with built-in waterfall. Extra cleaning can be arranged.
Extra Laundry (ie. clothes) can be collected, or there is a drop-off laundry close by.
Care When Staying :- I live close by so can take care of your needs. We help introduce you to the island's amenities to accelerate the start of your holiday eg. advising restaurants, beaches, taxis, things to do etc including Full Moon Parties, tours around island, boat hire, spa etc.
Ready to go :- We try to provide most things for you in the villa so when you step onto the island you are ready to relax. This includes, linen / towels (changed weekly), soaps/shampoos, kitchen utensils, pots and pans, crockery, cleaning materials, pool and house cleaning (weekly), and transport such as airport collections, a free scooter and phone. Car Hire (approx. 900 Baht per day) and others services can be arranged in advance too.
Location :- Because the house in in the hills, its best (but not essential) to use your own transport - scooters ideally or a car. The house is 1.6km from the main road, 15 mins drive from the airport and Bangrak, 30 mins from Lipa Noi and 45 mins from Nathon (Seatran mainland ferries). It is barely 5-10 minutes ride from the main bars/nightclubs in Chaweng but peacefully positioned on the outskirts of town a little in the jungle. Transport (car/bike/taxi) is recommended but not essential to get up the not too steep hill to the house from the main ring road. Nearest beach is just at the bottom of the road (approx. 2km).
*Terms of the scooter:-
Scooter : i will supply a Honda Click Scooter 125cc free of charge. Extra bikes can be arranged 250b per day. Riders must be competent (i may ask you to show me) and hold minimum a car driver's license. Customers are responsible for scooter damage caused and will be billed accordingly. A deposit may be required such as a drivers license or your passport. If you are a novice or have limited experience but still want to try i can give you lessons. Don't be over confident - just ask. Don't feel you have to take a scooter or car. Its just as easy to use public transport, taxis, walk etc because it is all at the bottom of the road.
Airport / Port pickup : mostly made by my usual taxi driver Bung, who knows the villa well. He will greet you and take you to the house direct where we will be waiting to greet you and do check-in. If arriving by boat at Nathon (Seatran) or Lipa Noi (Raja) its sometimes easier if you get your own taxi to Fair House Hotel, Chaweng and i can meet you from there. I will pay 500b towards this.
Phone : I supply a local mobile so you can contact me - it is a local number. It is also useful to order taxis, food etc. Extra credit can bought from any 7-Eleven / Family Mart convenience store.
The 3rd bed (ie. for the 5th person) is a comfortable fold-up single bed and needs to be arranged prior. It goes in the rear bedroom (which already has a queen-sized double). A 6th person staying in the villa is charged at 500b per day.
We live nearby so we will look after you during your stay and try to make it your best holiday ever.

The Surat Thani Province region
Situated on the Gulf of Thailand ( South East Thailand), Koh Samui offers a fantastic blend of different types of holiday for all ages, something for everybody.
The island is typically mountainous jungle and coconut trees on the inside surrounded by beautiful white sandy beaches on the outside. It is Thailand's epicentre of spa's, massage and health oriented treatments but coupled with this it offers a range of food from international standard cuisine in many of its beautiful hotels and beach side restaurants to its street food and local thai restaurants where the average meal costs just 50 bhat (approx. £1).
Koh Samui is the 3rd largest island in Thailand taking about 1 hour to drive around but as well as being a holiday destination is also a real working island full of original Thai locals too, so as well as having dramatic a landscape, it offers a cultural experience too.
The house is situated in a quiet spot in the hills but just a few minutes from the main town Chweng which offers shopping, restaurants , bars and nightlife such as the famous Soi Green Mango. Many young people like to use the Island as a base to go by speedboat to the famous "Full Moon Parties" at Koh Phanang too. (just 800 bhat return journey)
For the adventurous there are mountains, diving, waterfalls, elephant riding, bike riding, crocodile zoos etc. amongst many activities to explore.
For those looking for tranquility there are many empty beaches to explore especially the far side of the island (Bang Por). Thai people don't go to the beach because they prefer to stay out of the sun so most beaches are very quiet.
For those looking for treatment, remedies, spa's , massage , therapies etc. there is perhaps more choice than anywhere in the world.
And for fine dining there is an increasing array of beautiful restaurants to go.
The weather is the best thing about Samui...always warm day and night but never too hot. It is always around 28-32C day and 25C at night. It does not rain alot but when it does you know about it! The rainy season is typically mid October to mid December and hottest temperatures around March/April but there isn't too much fluctuation year round. Always t-shirt and shorts weather, even in the rain at night!

"Sawadee Sea View is a peaceful retreat on a mountain top"
After several weeks of hectic travel, we were ready for a quieter location. Sawadee Sea View filled the bill perfectly. The villa is situated at the top of a winding mountain road with only a couple of other homes in the neighbourhood. The villa is clean and well appointed with everything needed to be comfortable for a couple of weeks. We visited the Tesco grocery store and cooked several meals at the villa. There is plenty of room on the patio and the pool is big enough in which to have some fun. And the view is beautiful. Matthew and his girlfriend Cloudy were always available if we needed help with anything. He even provided us with a cell phone to call him if necessary. For transportation, we planned to use the scooter Matthew provided, plus another rental, but after a broken toe and a trip to the hospital, we quickly traded in our scooters for a much more sensible car. If you don't have motor bike experience, skip the scooter. Matthew arranged a reasonable no hassle car rental for us. If we visit Koh Samui again, we definitely want to revisit the Sawadee Sea View Villa. Thanks Matthew!

"Best villa I've ever stayed in!"
We stayed in this lovely villa for 11 days with our 11 month old daughter. The villa itself was beautiful and had plenty of room for our daughter to entertain herself. The pool was amazing and we spent many hours just relaxing taking in the beautiful view. The kitchen was fully equipped and there was a proper filter on the tap so we could drink the tap water. The villa was only a five minute drive to the beach and to the markets in Chaweng. There are restaurants at the bottom of the hill only a few minutes away. The best thing was the privacy and the quietness of being in the hills - no traffic and no noisy people! But what made this villa extraordinary and the best place we have ever stayed in would have to be the service we got from Matthew. He was regularly in touch and gave us lots of information about Koh Samui. He even babysat our daughter while she was sleeping at night for a few hours so my husband and I could have a meal out, which was greatly appreciated! I don't have one negative thing to say about our stay in the villa or in Koh Samui itself. Next time we come to Koh Samui I'll be in touch with Matthew about staying here again without a doubt. This villa truly did make our holiday one of the best we have ever had. Thanks Matthew!!!

We stayed for 5 nights at the villa recently, 2 bedrooms each with their own ensuite. House has everything you need, spare towels, fully set up kitchen if you wish to cook, free wifi, private pool. Would recommend getting scooters as the villa is off the main road quite a bit, about 5 mins on scooter, the road is very quiet with only the odd car or local using it. Lots of restaurants right at the bottom of the villa road, here you can rent a scooter too. Worth hiring just to go up and down the villa road then you could taxi it else where if you wish. To access the beach - At the bottom of the villa road, you cross over the main road and walk through one of the many hotels that line the beach side. Matt is super friendly and will help you get settled and give you some great advice on where to eat / see the sights etc. Definitely recommend it for those that wish to stay in a peaceful location. * Also didnt think it was mentioned when we book, but you have to pay a power charge. It's pretty minor but still worth mentioning. Ours was around 500 baht in total for the 5 days (approx $4 AUD per day).
