“Beach Getaway” This place is perfect! Updated and right on the ocean with an amazing view. However, there is not much beach to put chairs down and sit. You can sit for only 2-3 hours in the mid-morning. This did not bother us though as we enjoyed the view all week and drove to a public beach access with parking 2 mins down the road, packed our lunch and stayed there the entire day. The condo is only a 5 minute walk to the sound which we did almost every night to see a beautiful sunset.

“Entire family enjoyed everything about our stay” The place where we stayed was spacious with a beautiful view of the ocean. The private walkway was a plus. We liked the overhang on our porch where we could escape the sun and rain but still enjoy the terrific view. Went to see the aquarium and spent an entire day at Beaufort. Fort Macon was very educational and enjoyable.

“A great time "For Shore"!” My extended family and I have stayed at One For Shore for 6 summers now. We wouldn't think of staying anywhere else when visiting Emerald Isle. The house is well appointed and maintained- just pack your clothes and your good to go. The beach access is just across the street making it super easy with the young children. The pool is an added bonus- when you are tired of the sand go relax by the pool. We look forward all year to our most relaxing week at the beach.

“elegance and peacefulness at the beach” Angelfish Cottage was everything we hoped it would be. You are always skeptical when renting a house you have never seen but this house exceeded our expectations. It was comfortable, beautifully decorated and I could tell the owners put a lot of thought into the details. My son especially enjoyed the Playstation and the games (which hadn't been advertised). There were movies available as well as some boardgames. Each room had a flatscreen t.v. two of which were huge. The upperdeck had comfortable lounge chairs so you didnt have to carry anything up there. They have top of the line appliances which were wonderful. There were plenty of extra pillows and blankets which we didn't need but appreciated having them if we had. My only disappointment was that the Wifi did not work. I had to access another line that was not secure. Staying at the angelfish Cottage would assure you of an enjoyable vacation at Emerald Isle. :)

“Isle Stay Vacation” Isle Stay is a lovely beach home, we have stayed here several years now. We noticed a few more problems this year than in the past, however. The pool table was not usuable, the top rack of the dishwasher kept falling, the dryer needed several cycles to get most loads dry. I did not feel the bathrooms were as clean as I would have liked upon arrival. There was a towel rack pulled out of the wall in one of the upstairs bathrooms (which did get repaired) and the deck had blue paint writing on it.

“Family Vacation to Emerald Isle for 1st Time @ Mint Julep” We have typically vacationed on the Gulf Coast in the past, and decided to try a change of pace and chose Emerald Isle. (Turned out to be a good choice with the recent oil spill affecting the gulf coast) We were lucky enough to find Mint Julep on line in an extensive web search and were very happy with the close proximity to the beach, the private pool, and the family friendly amenities in this affordable vacation rental. In addition, we found Shorewood realty to be very responsive to our requests and we would recommend the location and both this rental unit and the rental company, as well.

“"Edgewater" at Emerald Isle is a wonderful Autumn experience” We enjoyed our stay very much. "Five Stars" to the personnel at Shorewood Real Estate. They were very professional and courteous and provided excelent service. The house was neat and of course the location was "top-notch". We enjoyed the spaciousness of the upstairs area. “great location and great views” Conviently located for a family: directly on a quiet part of the beach and near a grocery store. Enough room for an extended family of ten people. Views are great. Check-in is done easily. Not as clean as it should have been. There were cigarette ashes on the master bedroom floor (this is a non-smoking property...). Gas grill was dirty, full of greasy residue.

“Loved it!” We've rented many different houses at Emerald Isle, and Crystal Charm East is our favorite. The location is great - you are close to everything without feeling the bustle of the main drag. The house is very comfortable and nicely furnished. Because we have teenagers we really appreciated the wireless internet access. I did feel some anxiety about the ceramic stovetop and the need to clean it after each use. And we had an ant problem at the beginning of the week that was quickly solved by a can of Raid - we didn't call the rental office about it since they disappeared in a day. The only suggestion I would make would be to add some beach items - sand chairs, boogie boards and an umbrella. We'll definitely rent this house again!

“Better than advertised!” Everyone knows that the Outer Banks is a terrific vacation spot. However, we were really impressed by this house and its amenities. The large open layout and construction are first rate. We had kids as young as 1 year old and 6 adults sharing the place and there were large rooms to congregate and quiet places to get away for privacy. The views from the porch and windows were outstanding. The place exceeds its description by far.
