“I was left alone in a home from home, clean, well equipped, and” Maybe I should have rated this rental as 5 stars - Ms. Vesna Zlovich's home is very nice indeed. A well-equipped studio with a wonderful sea-view and attractive balcony, right on the seashore, half-way between Maly Losinj and Veli Losinj. The owner is friendly and helpful, the room and the adjoined kitchen are almost perfect, the bathroom is rather small and not absolutely hotsy-totsy, but quite OK in general. The house is surrounded with pine-trees. It's almost ideal for relaxation "far from the maddening crowd" (and from the shops, markets and restaurants as well - but you can't have it all!). I spent half the days just sun-bathing on the rocks and swimming, wishing nothing else but to stay there indefinitely. To get anything one needs or wants one has to walk to one of the towns, but walking along the shore line is a pleasure. In a word everything is really fine. The only thing I did not enjoy were the neighbours: not the tourists, but the young people living in the next house. I could sympathise with them, they liked good company and rock music and wanted to make the most of their holidays, but when they had night parties I wished they were miles and miles away! (To do them justice, they had only five or six parties in two weeks, but even that was somewhat trying for me). If not for these young people, I'd have been absolutely satisfied with my stay at Ms. Vesna Zlovich's house. And of course, she is not responsible for the behaviour of her neighbours. I think it won't be difficult for the younger tourists to reconcile themselves to the situation - and I am sure that many advantages of this rental compensate for its only disadvantage. So I've already recommended it to my acquaintances (having warned them that some of the nights may be a bit noisy) and maybe I'll try to book it for the next summer too!
