Banyan The Banyans is an elegant private family home situated on a large estate property. The house was designed by renowned architect, Tom Scheerer and has been featured in many design books and magazines including Architectural Digest, Elle Décor. The house has four beautiful bedrooms all with generous marble and cedar bathrooms and large, graceful entertaining spaces inside and out. The house is surrounded by terraces and sweeping gardens overlooking the bay. The house was built new in 2006 on a historic bayside property with magnificent fichus and banyan trees, for which the house is named. The original shape of the heated pool was kept – which is the oldest on the island – and where the Duke and Duchess of Windsor swam in the 1950s. The Banyans is staffed with a gardener and a house keeper who clean every day. For an additional weekly charge of $500 plus his offsite accommodation costs (around $600 per week) our Bahamian chef can prepare three delicious meals daily and cater to the tastes and requirements of all guests.
