Holiday farmhouses in Colorado

“Home away from home” My husband & I were looking for something a little different as we would be touring the state of Colorado with two young children and knew we would get burned out on hotels. Hd Ranch fit just our needs! We weren't cramped into a small room with 2 beds. We had room and lots of it both inside and out. The bed was very comfortable and the kids slept all night long in the bunks - so they obviously slept great too! We were able to grill and cook which was also a nice change from eating out again. Francie and James are very hospitable and our only complaint would be that we were only there for 2 nights. We used the ranch as a base location and made a short drive over to Mesa Verde. If you are going to be in the Durango area and are looking for a place to stay you really shouldn't pass this place up. There's lots to do in the area - sight seeing, hiking, skiing, cross country skiing/snow shoeing, etc. I know if we ever travel back to this area we will certainly be trying to book a place here again.
