“local java habitat and design in a natural environment” This well-kept property is unique on the island in terms of its size, local flair and provided comfort at an affordable price. It's composed of a spacious main house, two wonderful original joglos -native Javanese perched houses- and a gated swimming pool. All is designed tastefully using organic materials such as natural woods and lava stones. I stayed three weeks in the main joglo- glad to discover the charm of these well-vented houses - the main house has aC- when sleeping in a comfortable bed under mosquito nets. One's privacy is ensured despite the huge, half-sheltered, open-air bathroom with a tropical tree sprucing from its centre to heighten the relaxing proximity with nature. The staff is always present, though discreet, to cook delicious local or continental dishes from a huge palm roofed kitchen/bar space and keep the property impeccable. Located in the silence of a coconut plantation, just five minutes away from white sandy beaches and diving shops, Anak cottage is an ideal place for families, travelers and wellness lovers in search of a clean and peaceful place to rest. I strongly and enthusiastically recommend this delightful place for short or long stays to resource yourself on Gili Trawangan, just 90 minutes away by boat from the black sands of Bali.
