“Labor Day 2016” Beautiful view and the porches were fantastic!! The owner has been working hard to make updates to the spacious cozy house, we loved the dock and easy walk to the water! We would defiantly stay here again and plan to in the near future : )

“Best Vacation Rental ever!” The Recycled House is amazing! The photos are lovely, but don't do justice to the uniqueness of this home. We had a wonderful stay, starting with our tour, given by Debra, the owner. She took us around the house, pointing out some of the recycled elements and telling us their history. How many homes have tiles from a swimming pool (No Diving!)in the shower? Or croquet balls built into the banisters? Each day we discovered new details we hadn't noticed before. Whimsy and creativity are visible throughout the home. Our tour ended with the cookie jar, filled with delicious cookies from a local bakery. So sweet! The house was very cozy. The bed was super comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. There were games to play, books to read and a lovely upstairs porch surrounded by trees (felt like we were in a treehouse). The location was great - an easy walk to downtown, close to lots of shops and restaurants. We had a fabulous weekend in Charlottesville. We'll definitely be going back to the Recycled House. “Weekend away” I went to Wintergreen with my family and friends and we had an incredible time at this lovely house. The house is absolutely stunning, the pictures on the website don't do it justice. The bedrooms are elegant and the living/family area is huge with enough room for everyone in your family/group. The owners of the house have done an incredible job making the house look great and they provide all the amenities you can imagine...so many things that you don't have to pack to bring on a trip. And there is also so much to do at the house - Wii Game; X-Box/Kinect; FoosBall; 100+ movies, board games, a library of books and even toys for children to play with. The house is perfect for a family together, a girl's weekend, a romantic get-away. It's also perfect for 2-3 set of couples, where each couple has their own bedroom and bathroom. I can't imagine a better place to stay as it is in a popular area of the Wintergreen Resort. The house has everything and we can't wait to go back!

“Excellent lodging option in Luray” Perfect cottage for two couples or a family visiting the Luray area. Both bedrooms have plenty of room and are very comfortable (bed + wing chairs), ensuite baths are also both very nice. Kitchen is well stocked and has most everything you would need for preparing meals. Living room is set up as a media room with inexpensive recliners, we opted for the more comfortable chairs in the bedrooms for seating. Outside space (covered and open decks, chairs, table, grill, hot tub) is well done and is an added plus to the house when the weather is nice. Having your morning coffee on the front deck as the sun glitters on the river is a great way to start the day. Our stay at Rock Tavern was on weekdays in April and it was very peaceful, road traffic was minimal. Keep in mind that there is no Wi-Fi in the house, and cellular reception can be spotty at times. The one negative is that the heating / A/C unit is right outside the master bedroom's window and can disrupt your sleep as it kicks on and off throughout the night.

Add ADA equipped, and pet-friendly made it a perfect spot for a four night stay for a special family occasion (extended to five nights due to a snowstorm). The owner is gracious, the location convenient, the property spotless!
