“Beautiful Beachview Condo” What a wonderful and beautiful condominium! The decor of the condo was so impressive! All the beds were so comfortable that even the kiddos slept late, but it was also probably the playtime at the beautiful beach too! We loved how we had a deck overlooking the beach and the easy walk down to the beach and pool areas.Everything in the condo was decorated so nice and had all the extras we needed in the kitchen,baths and beyond. You have truly thought of all the comforts of home and know how to bring guests back! Thank you for offering such a great place and we will surely be back next summer!

Only one-half mile across at its widest, South Padre Island nestles just off the southern tip of Texas, with the Laguna Madre on one side and the Gulf of Mexico on the other. It’s perfectly situated for the perfect holiday, whether you plan lazy days on the beach or a holiday filled with activity. There are lots of reasons why South Padre Island is a perennial favourite getaway, for families, for couples, and for singles.

You can spend your stay on South Padre Island lazing at the beach, but for those in a more active mood, there’s windsurfing and parasailing. Rent a bike to explore the island, head out for a day’s fishing, ride horseback along the beach at sunset, play 18 holes on a bayside golf course, and more. Nature lovers can hike, dive, bird-watch, enjoy a dolphin-watching cruise, or learn about rescue and conservation at Sea Turtle, Inc. Contact a local sandcastle designer and take a lesson in building your own Fantasy sand palace. If you don’t get enough water at the beach, check out Schlitterbahn Beach Waterpark & Resort, a great place for a family to spend a day.

South Padre Island offers great food, from hamburgers to Mexican, from seafood to Italian, from sidewalk cafés to beachside diners to casual fine dining. After dark, South Padre can be as relaxing or exciting as you choose. Stroll the beach in the moonlight or follow the music to dance at one of the island’s clubs. Friday evenings during the summer, stop by one of the bars or restaurants on the Laguna Madre side of the island so you can watch the weekly fireworks display.

With average temperatures between 70° and 90° – rarely dropping below 60° even during winter – just about any time is a great time to visit South Padre Island. Springtime brings migrating birds and nesting turtles back to the island, fall celebrates Sandcastle Days, and the weather is gorgeous year-‘round.By car, drive to Port Isabel and cross the causeway. Brownsville/South Padre Island International Airport is served by American Airlines, United Airlines and AeroMéxico. Valley International Airport in Harlingen is served by Southwest Airlines, AirTrans, Sun Country Airlines, and Delta Airlines. Shuttle service to South Padre Island is available from both airports.

The WAVE, South Padre Island’s free shuttle, runs from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and serves both South Padre Island and Port Isabel, the nearest mainland city. It’s handicapped-accessible and equipped with bike racks and free Wi-Fi. For those who might prefer to get around under their own steam, bicycle rentals are also available.
