“Where nature's silence deafens you with peace” When I tell you this is offbeat, I don't mean the usual tourist places that come up on your google search. I mean a beautiful but typical Maharashtrian villa in a sparsely populated hillside village. The place had no cellphone network, which was a boon, and surrounded by an ocean of trees. The food was genuinely delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed eating authentic Marathi food by the hands of a simple but gracious cook. The best part about the place that though its evidently isolated from the city life, it is near both river and sea. Tarkarli and Malvan beaches were an hour's drive away and Tambaldeg beach, which was merely 15 minutes away, was even better. The house is very cozy and comfortable and we absolutely lacked nothing. The hosts seemed too sweet to be true, but alas we were blessed to meet hosts who had opened their heart to share their little piece of heaven with us and made every effort they could to enable us to truly enjoy our time. If you honestly want to revel in nature and get away from the fast life, this is the place you're looking for. I still can't believe we stumbled across this place. It was a weekend to remember. How ever much I'd recommend this place, in all honesty I'd like it to remain quaint and un-touristy. :)
