“Beautiful Eden Island” Eden Island is a beautiful place to stay when you visit Mahe, Seychelles. Beautiful beaches suited for both adults and children. The apartment is big and very nice, though it certainly need upgrade. The apartment has beautiful view and a big balcony with grill. There are three big bedrooms, each of them with bath/shower and toilet. The kitchen need to be upgraded when it comes to kitchen utensils (example glasses, bowls). We were six persons, but only glasses for three. The washing machine was very old, and four days before leaving, it broke down. It was not fixed. The dryer was also old, and did not a good job. The clothes did not dry. Tv did also broke down, but we got a new one the day after. Internet is very bad, almost hopeless to use. Seem to be bad all over the Island. Aircondition did not work in the two bedrooms in first floor. It took some days before that was fixed. All in all small things, but a little boring. Furniture could also be better, seems to be old and much used. Unfortunately it was raining pretty much the first week and therefore we spent more time inside in not comfortable furnitures. The apartment had a golfcart which we used to get around the Island, very convenient. As a guest at Eden Island you have access to all the beaches, pools, gym and lot more. There is a groceryshop (Spar), but very expensive. Recommend STC Hypermarked with local prices. Anyway, we will definitely recommend this apartment. We had a wonderful stay and the owner let us stay a little longer the day we left without paying extra.

“Hopefully next time we can stay longer.....” We have just returned from our first trip to the Seychelles and this will definitely not be our last! This was in no small part due to the fabulous accommodation we had in Maison 199, Eden Island. Travelling as a family of four this maison provided plenty of space for our 17 year old daughter to find a balcony or lounge for some 'time alone' when the parents and 10 year old sister became a tad irritating (or was that the other way round)? The private swimming pool was a hit at the end of a day of boating, snorkelling or exploring the island. Most evenings we cooked outdoors on the gas barbeque, overlooking the beach directly in front of the unit, still being able to keep an eye on our youngest who spent the evening swimming in the warm pool. It was a little too humid for us to run, so the well-equipped and air conditioned gym was a hit. Whilst the maison had everything we needed, including air conditioning in all rooms, it was the overall quality and comfort of the unit and the pleasant cleaning staff that enabled us to really relax. Eden Island could not be better positioned as the airport is a few minutes away and the island was easy to explore by car or by boat. Hopefully next time we can stay longer.....

“Great apartment to fully enjoy your stay in this paradise on Earth!” 'Ambrosine' s a fantastic apartment with great looking interior and fantastic view on the ocean. It has swimming pool, Satellite TV, DVD player, snooker table and great equiped kitchen and bathroom. You can even use boat or tennis court. Host is very communicative and helpful. This apartment has everything you need (and more) to enjoy your stay on this beautiful place. Josip

“One week in paradise” We had a wonderful 1 week stay in the Bel Horizon appartment in autumn 2012. The layout was perfect for our family of four and the quality and style of the interior showed that someone really cared putting this together. Denise was very helpful in many ways - organizing a hire car for a good price, making reservations at restaurants and even organizing a local craftsmen to build a case to transport some artwork back to Europe. David gave me good advice on what fish to buy at the local fish market and prepared a great barbecue at the apartment. When the tide is right the little private beach is a great entry point for snorkelling on the corall reef - we were out there every day. To get around it is helpful to have a car - but that is a must anyway if you want to discover this beautiful island properly. We felt completely at home and in paradise and will for sure come back.

“Just what was needed...” Positive - We really enjoyed our stay here, it was exactly what we'd hoped for. The apartment has all the facilities you could need and we BBQ'ed out on the balcony every day. The island is stunning and ideal for both families and individuals alike. Staying here you will have access to the 4 private beaches (ranging from 5-15 min walk away), club house with pools, gym and other leisure facilities. Another added bonus is there are no cars so the noise is non existent and you really don't have to worry about kids playing. The apartment has its own golf buggy so if you can't be bothered to walk you can nip around on it. The landlord himself is also great to work with, and given this is a self catering apartment couldn't be more accommodating when any requests were made. Negative - I want to stress that these were only very minor things and we would happily stay here again. First the Internet connection is pretty awful (this is a Seychelles issue) and you are essentially limited to things like what's app & messaging. Next to impossible to upload any photos or send an email which is any more than just text...then again do you come to the Seychelles to spend time surfing on the Internet. The second - because this is not a hotel there are a few things which are inevitable when it is not being occupied every day in a hot and sometimes humid climate places like cupboards do get a little bit of what looked like damp marks that if used or cleaned would not be an issue. Third...and this is more general advise...take the mosquito repellent because although it's not as bad as on the mainland it is still a tropical island and you will get bitten at some point if you don't. We made the mistake of not brining any and were scratching from day 4 onward
