“Serene Getaway” This B&B; was out of the hustle and bustle of Seattle, Washington but was close enough to enjoy all the area has to offer. Annie, the owner, was wonderful and adds some extra personal touches and is very helpful. It was 8 min. from Tacoma/Seattle airport and close to groceries, gas stations, and restaurants. The view from the deck was awesome and the fireworks were great to watch from the hot tub on the deck. The skies were clear and the stars very bright. A very romantic and serene place to get away from it all after a day of sight seeing, shopping, and hiking. We highly recommend this place and hope to return there ourselves in the future. We have bragged about it to all our friends.
“Such a wonderful cottage!” My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this very sweet 1920's cottage. After a drive from Boston it felt like we had come home. April and Mike had left some goodies for our arrival and we settled right in. The kitchen had every appliance we could ask for and we were able to make many delicious meals. After 2 1/2 weeks on the road it was such a relief to have a comfortable bed to sleep in and a nice little neighborhood to walk our dog around. To top it all the bathroom floor was heated...such an amazing perk to have!!
Thanks again april & Mike! We will definitely suggest out of towners to spend some time in your cottage!
“Wonderful View” This is a wonderful, clean, and cozy rental right on Puget Sound. Since I was traveling to Seattle for work, this was a great location as it's only 5 minutes to SeaTac airport and just minutes to Seattle and Renton. The view of the Sound from the living room and deck is priceless, and one could spend hours there marveling at the view of the water and the ever-changing view of the Olympic mountains. If you're adventurous, you can walk up the hill to the charming little town of Burien. There's so many good restaurants and shops nearby. I recommend a dinner and movie at the Tin Room for a good neighborhood experience. Your hosts are great and truly seek to make your stay enjoyable. I can't thank them enough for sharing their home and making this a memorable visit.
“Quite enjoyed our stay!” My husband and I stayed for two nights during our one year anniversary trip to Seattle and Portland. I only wish we could have stayed longer! My favorite part of the cottage was the hot tub on the deck, which we soaked in both nights. My husband's favorite part was probably the gas grill on the deck, or the fresh breakfast pastries every day.
Great location! Easy to find/access, nice quiet neighborhood, minutes from restaurants and grocery stores in Burien, and a short drive to both the airport and downtown Seattle.
The price was a little higher than I would have preferred, which limited the number of nights we were able to stay. I was thinking later that I would have liked to give up the complimentary breakfast and housekeeping in order to pay a lower nightly rate (had that been an option). However, I will say that the rates were comparable to any other nice hotel we were looking at in the area. So if it's a toss up between a private, secluded B&B; cottage and a hotel room downtown, the cottage is a no-brainer!
“Great location full of charm” Love the cottage, loved the location and a short drive to downtown Seattle.Elise was a wonderful host who gave us lots of Idea,s with renovating our old home in australia.
