“Back to Rangeley area for the 15 or 16th time.” We have gone to Rangeley and been on Bald Mt. Rd. for many years at another residence about a half mile from the Kadel property. The friends that we have rented from have aged, been ill, and we were unsure how or if we would be able to rent there in the future so we decided to try the Kadel property. Our reaction:
Good Things: nice living rooml, kitchen and dining areas.
wonderful fireplace and a good wood supply
a good dock
clean, neat,and with all conveniences
Not So Great:
Bedrooms...no doors or ceilings which would be o.k. for just two people, but a little close for multiple adult couples or with kids.
Not as much property to "roam" as with the place that we are accustomed to renting. We also had a canoe and kayak to enjoy there.
Overall, my wife and I would return if the Koure camp is not available.

“Cozy, Clean and Quiet” CedarDuft was just what we were looking for! We wanted a nice, clean quiet place and we found it. The cabin was well taken care of with a nice screened in porch perfect for taking advantage of the adirondack chairs with your morning coffee while looking out over the water. The cottage sits on a slope down to the pond. There are plenty of outdoor seating options and two kayaks. There are hiking trails not far, plenty of fishing - by lake, pond, or river. We enjoyed having smore's by the fire a few nights. There was even wood available. The ducks visited daily while we sat on the adirondack chairs on the dock. Quimby pond is quaint - the time of year did not lead itself to good fishing on the pond as it had been too hot however it was a big enough pond to get a good workout by kayaking around. Rangeley had several great restaurants which completely surprised us. I highly recommend the Corner Side Bistro. There is also a great farm stand - The Farmer's Daughter - which is only a 5 minute drive.
“Wonderful Place” Great service, easy to find. Loved 'Waters Edge' it was just what we wanted. Beautiful, peaceful location and nice shops in the town. Only amenity missing was a washing machine. Favourite thing was the deer walking past one morning. Least favourite was no Moose!
“An excellent, relaxing experience” We found the cabin very comfortable and located in a perfect spot on the lake. We had a wonderful relaxing time there and even in our short stay met some interesting and very friendly people. They made us feel welcome there and we look forward to a future return trip.
“Great cabin overall Great experience” Cabin was very clean and great location for snowmobiling and close to town. Morton and Furbish is great and they never point me in the wronge direction on where to stay.

“Clean & has everything a family would need.” We rented Murzyn for February school vacation, and our family (5 of us) enjoyed our stay. However, it was a bit chilly underfoot because of the 3 car garage below the living space so bring slippers (- but no big deal). Also, the bedding was summer weight, and could have used a few comforters. Kitchen was well equipped, and the closets are spacious. Great washer and dryer, and great wi-fi access. This place is very clean and has no allergens.
“Location, location, location” Although this cabin is one of the first cabins on Quimby pond, it is still in very good shape and is clean. It is a rustic cabin, so if you are expecting something new with high ceilings and big bright rooms, this isn't for you - it is quaint and rustic and peaceful and gorgeous...and did I say relaxing? Our vacation was just as it should be - filled with kayaking, hiking, swimming and other fun things. We fed the ducks in the pond every night and some waddled up to visit us while at the campfire. My son loved sleeping in the loft, and really wanted to stay in the bunkhouse. We felt the bedroom was cozy and comfortable. It was the ultimate cabin on a lake experience. I hope this cabin continues to rent out so that we can come there again - but next time we are bringing our dogs!
“Tempel- a true "On Golden Pond" experience” If you like plush accommodations, room service, and everything close to town you can stop reading now. If you like peace, tranquility, beautiful sunsets, loons calling at night, simple, clean accommodations located on a dirt road 5 miles from town then keep reading. Tempel is perfect for the traveler who is self-sufficient and enjoys the outdoors. There are terrific hiking trails, canoeing, fishing, swimming, birding nearby as well as throughout the Rangeley area. Or you can just sit and spend the day looking at the lake and the mountains in the distance. The lake is quiet- no motors allowed- so all you hear are the loons and the wind on the water. The cabin is sparsely furnished but relatively comfortable. The kitchen has everything you could ask for except a dishwasher- or you can eat out. There are lots of great restaurants in town! We weren't sure about the water supply so we brought our own bottled water. Since this cottage is not fancy- it's all done in knotty pine. Think "On Golden Pond"! - we would only recommend it to friends who share our simple taste in accommodations.
“Wild Women;s Week in Maine” Had a great time. Beautiful location. Lovely cabin, very well equipped. Would suggest a step stool for the kitchen ( for the shorties) and a brush for the grill, otherwise everything was there!
