“Very peaceful location.” I dreamed of a quiet retreat on the ocean with all the amenities of home and that is what we found. This home is well cared for and has everything you need for a comfortable get away. We enjoyed the ocean and the pool daily. The outside deck was perfect for our morning coffee and the lanai was awesome for enjoying our home cooked meals. We had no difficulty stocking the kitchen with our food choices and this allowed us the maximum amount of sun time! If all goes well we will be back again.
“slice of heaven” Thank you so much to Frank and Del- loved loved loved this perfect quiet spot for our beach vacation!
The villa is just as pictured, with so many homey touches- comfy pillows on the couches, bunches of beach towels and snorkel gear, and every possible cooking utensil for whatever dinner strikes your fancy! This would be a perfect spot for couples or families like ours.
The beach is quite literally outside your door. We loved having our own private beach on the beautiful tropical island.
We never ran out of stuff to do- recommendations were listed by Frank and Del and past guests, and the snorkeling right out the back is incredible. Lawn chairs are on the front of the beach for lazy reading in the sunshine, and board games are stacked high.
We also loved the music system that we could attach our Ipod to so we could dance while we made dinner... and if we didn't feel like cooking, they were so many yummy places to eat at just a ways down the road.
Just incredible to have our own paradise at our fingertips. Thank you again to Frank for being so accessible and helpful in advice and tips for making our stay fantastic. We will be back soon!
“Cosy and Laid Back” We rented Rum Haven for a long weekend staycation and had a really nice time. Perfect size for a couple although they have a sofa bed if you were to add more. Rum Point just across the road with drinks, food, watersports and a really nice beach and turquoise waters. The condo also looks onto a water inlet from the ocean which you can kayak up. The bioluminescence tours go right by here if you pick the right times of the month (no moon). The condo was well equipped with kitchen equipment, etc - everything you need in a home. The owners (and property manager) clearly take good care of this place. All in all I'd highly recommend this to prospective guests, ideally a couple due to the size.
“Nothing else like it on Cayman!!” Kozi Kai at the Sea Lodges is a beautiful and peaceful destination. Steps to the turquoise sea! Sleeping with the sound of waves on the reef and waking to breathtaking sunrises is as good as it gets. The cottage was spotless and had everything you could want. There is no better value in a beachfront cottage on the island. I highly recommended a stay here.
“Great time staying at The Pools in Grand Cayman Island” My wife and I were so happy with our stay at The Pools #12 in the northern section of the island, near Rum Point. The accommodations were wonderful; the unit was large with a full kitchen, has a private pool in a screened-in patio, and is located right on the beach. It was perfect for lazy mornings and wind-down evenings after a full day of activities. The island is known for its numerous dive/snorkling sites but, in addition, we enjoyed just walking out of the patio to snorkle in the waters right in front of our property. Really nice attributes of the location are the nearby restaurants and water craft rentals at Rum Point and Kaibo Yacht Club, close to a general store, and generally less populated area - although it was great to have a wonderful dinner at the Rum Point restaurant and then return home to hear the music coming from the Kaibo Bar and Grill (which stopped, respectively, at around 11:00pm). The rest of the island is an easy drive away; the capitol of Georgetown is a 35 min drive away which offers everything one might want in terms of shopping and dinning, or a fun drive to completely circumvent the entire island. We thought that The Pools were in the best location and the units were excellent in terms of comfort.
“Just wonderful” On our first visit to Grand Cayman we could not have been more satisfied. This condo offered a very relaxing place to spend a week. The view and quiet location allowed us to forget other obligations that clutter our daily lives. The unit was clean. The kitchen fully stocked with utensils, dinnerware, dish soaps (liquid and dish washer tablets), cookware and dish towels. We did run out of coffee filters and I can not say if they are provided or if they were left over from previous guests. All other linens were provided including beach towels. No laundry soap was provided. A highlight was the indoor pool which we used daily. Our group of two couples could frequently be heard commenting on how much we enjoyed the outdoor living space created by the 2 story screened pool enclosure. It is here that we had our morning coffee and breakfasts. The beauty of tropical sand and water just outside the door was intoxicating. The unit is a short walk from Star Fish Point so we were privileged to observe star fish also living around the dock just outside the back door. Two outdoor chairs and two lounging chairs were provided if one chose to relax by the condo. We found WIFI worked best later in the evening. Check-in and check-out were convenient as the office is located very close to the airport. We were easily able to access the office with a simple phone call for any questions that arose.
Rum Point Beach is a few minutes away by car. Here you will find a public beach with chairs, food, drinks, dive shop, hammocks, gift shop and a good restaurant for dinner. Also within a short walking distance of the condo is Kaibo restaurant. We found only 1 of our 3 meals there up to our expectations. Lunch food was satisfactory. Both the Tuesday evening BBQ and Luna Del Mar dinner (only happens on full moon), quality did not match the expensive cost. We would have enjoyed some sort of book in the unit with dining recommendations and things to do. We were however able to talk with other visitors for their recommendations. Our favorite dining highlights were Rum Point for dinner, the Lighthouse, Over the Edge, Morgan's Seafood. Other than going to the beach our favorite activities were boat to snorkel and Sting Ray City, Crystal Cave and Bio-luminescent tour at night.
