“family fun” Our family of 5 (with one on the way) had a great week at Cedar Creek Cabin. Quiet, restful, peaceful rocking on the front porch...we all caught up on sleep and reading. The house is furnished for everything and the fishing next door appealed to our son and son-in-law.

“Great! Great! Great!” Absolutely perfect! Walking distance to Montreat playground. Walking distance to town of Black Mountain. Beds we're comfy and the kitchen was very nice! We spent Thanksgiving week and were extremely pleased. Thank you John and Monica!

“Beautiful home” We had a week long stay scheduled. It was beautiful. The house was amazing and the view was perfect. We had to cut our trip short though. There are so many stairs and the stairs down to the river were way too much. I wouldnt suggest this property for anyone with health conditions, pregnancy or small children with them. It would be perfect for young couples or older groups who are in excellent shape. Jeff Hayes was amazing to deal with as was Flip Key advisors. It was such a smooth way to book a beautiful home. I will definitely use them again in the future.

“Close enough to go out, but fun to stay in.” Such a beautiful place. Dave and Linda were responsive and professional. They were willing to work around some scheduling problems and make booking very simple. The cabin is beautiful, clean, and well stocked. It is tastefully decorated, open, simple, but quite modern. We stayed only the weekend, but still managed to: Befriend a sweet Giant Pyrenees and a small three-legged dog. Have a vigorous corn hole/ table tennis tournament. Play a rousing (and tipsy) game of Scattergories. See an amazing concert downtown. Chat by the fireplace. Cook a huge breakfast on Saturday morning (the kitchen was well stocked). Hike a beautiful trail. Shop /sightsee downtown. Order some tasty pizza from Papa Nicks (close by in Mars Hill, NC)

“Relaxing vacation” Comfortable vacation spot tucked away in a quiet area, right on the beach. Can't get better than that! The 3 of us had plenty of room, the place was clean, and Coral Surf has its own private beach access. When we wanted a little break from the beach we walked to the "lake" and to a local ice cream shop. Very nice place all in all, especially great for small families with kids.

“Hidden Getaway in the Smokys” I have a very stressful demanding job and I really needed to get away from everything. I heard about The Heart Center from family and friends that had previously stayed here and fell in love with the place. I came trying to find just peace and left with way more than I could have ever imagined. I found myself in this place, without even realizing it. I started having adventures, sightseeing, met great people, carved pumpkins, learned how to meditate, had Reiki, and I learned to have peace in the silence. I did the labyrinth which was a great way to open myself up to finding myself, and, last but not least, I found out that I love tennis and I was not too bad at it, in spite of it being my first time. Liz, the owner of The Heart Center, was a great mentor for me and became a lifetime friend that I will always cherish. I will have endless memories in this place and I have met amazing people that have taught me many things, while being in this center, and I will always be grateful for that. The cabin was spot on, impeccable, I did not miss home at all and I wish I could have spent more time there. I loved waking up in the morning to the birds singing and having my coffee on the deck and seeing what nature had to offer me.

“Repeats are so sweet!” This was our second fall trip to the Baker's cabin. It's works so well as a fun, family reunion home. Bruce & Marion have thought of just about everything. Since our family is food oriented we use their great kitchen as a gathering place where someone is always preparing their favorite dish or snack for all to try. The quaint living room was well used as a sports venue by day( huge flat screen w/NFL package) and a board game marathon hall at night. Bring your own or experiment with their inventory. Plenty of quiet, warm and comfortable bedrooms upstairs for those wonderful afternoon naps! I left the covered deck for last. Great hot tub, a Weber "turbo-charged grill and trout stream views that chase away all those demons you brought with you. Pour yourself two fingers of Maker's Mark, light up a Fuente and and listen to the water!

“Great Cabin! Great Owners!” As nice is it is to rent a cabin, we tried to get out of our rental. Our friends, who were paying 1/2 cancelled on us. Jill, the cabin owner, went out of her way to find someone else to rent the cabin, but no one did. Sooo, we decided just to go w/o our friends and we are so very glad we did!! What a great location! It's in a secluded area, but you can get to the friendly town of Spruce Pine in 15 mins. This cozy little cabin was very clean & had everything we needed from extra blankets to a closet shelf full of games. Jill included all kinds of helpful advice in our confirmation packet. We took her advice on a great restaurant, the Paradise Grill (no longer open for breakfast). It's owned by a Christian family that sells handmade crafts as a way to raise money for the people of Guatemala. The food was incredible; cooked with love. So, a trip that seemed doomed in the beginning ended up being a great success! Jill - Thanks so much! If we plan another trip to that area, we will be staying there again.

“Nice location” The cabin is in a great location. It is a very nice cabin. There are plenty of towels and linens. We enjoyed our visit. Only issue was dog hair. Would recommend it to anyone that wants to bring pets. The message chair was awesome. Wish I had a place to put one in my home.
