“Cant be bettered!” The house was fantastic, every little detail was thought of from quality kitchen ware to sauces in the fridge! All furniture, decor, linens, everything... was high quality, comfortable, scrupulously clean, well thought out and planned.
The view across the lake was breathtaking and memorising and we could not believe how much it changed from moment to moment. As a total novice to water activities it was great to have the canoes to use - and we did! and assume if you are an expert its just as fantastic as its on your doorstop - so easy!
Local walks were beautiful just a shame we missed the bear up the road that the next guest ran into - literally! We are sooo jealous.
We cant find fault at all and I'm sure anyone coming to stay will be as enchanted as we were.
Thank you Maura and David for looking after all the details and making our stay an easy and very comfortable one as well as helping us sort our laptop out! a necessity for us being international visitors!
“Absolutely magical” My family of 6 adults and 3 small children spent 7 days spanning the Christmas holidays in NYC. From the outset the owner Marea was very easy to deal with via email and phone from Ireland. We were a bit anxious about being "cooped up together" what with babies need for naps and early bedtime etc. We need not have worried. The apartment and suite were plenty spacious with everything one might need. A great kitchen and loads of seating for downtimes when we were not trekking around Manhattan. We really loved the lit Christmas tree in the Courtyard garden and the small lit tree presented to us by Marea and Gene on Christmas Eve. Also the gorgeous wine waiting on us on arrival. What to say about Manhattan?. Mind blowing is what comes to mind immediately. One experience might describe this. On the morning of day one, one little baby decided her morning would start at 4.30 am!. As the others were still sleeping myself and my daughter decided to go for a walk at 5.30am. And what a walk! The apartment is so central we walked and walked and saw all the sights, lights and architecture while most of NYC slept. I will remember this for ever. The most used appliance in the apartment was the Mr Coffee machine as there were so many and diverse restaurants in the area the problem was how to decide what to eat. There is also an amazing fresh food emporium in the neighborhood if cooking is on the cards. I can not rate this apartment, area or owner highly enough. Some of us are already planning a return.
