“Relaxing Vacation Getaway” First, and most importantly, everything which Mike (the owner) posted on FlipKey, including the photos, was totally accurate, and you couldn't ask for a finer owner than Mike - he was courteous, prompt, responsive and reliable. The log cabin is spacious but cozy, open-feeling, cheerful and uplifting. The location and the dense trees and foliage make it feel secluded (and it is really, really quiet), yet the neighbors are close by, and it's just a 5-minute walk to the beautiful ocean, and maybe another 5 or 10 minutes into town. It's a perfect location for walking and biking, with plenty of rolling topography, but nothing steep. The cabin was meticulously cleaned before our arrival. We found that it had everything we needed for a long stay - it is not only fully accessorized with many of the items you would have in your own home, but the modern kitchen is also equipped and stocked with most of the spices, oils, condiments and other goodies you'd need to whip up and serve an inviting meal. All in all, a great place to relax in or to come home to after a day of sightseeing, walking, hiking , biking or whatever you fancy.

“Perfect Getaway” I was lucky enough to rent the acorn Cottage for the month of December. I can't imagine a more perfect place! the cottage was located within easy walk to town and the acadia trails. The cottage is beautiful~ it is open, lots of natural light, well decorated, warm, and cozy. I especially enjoyed the window seat where i could look out into the woods while i read a book and listened to music. the little stove in the corner was perfect for heating the space and never felt drafty. the kitchen could have used a little extra counter space but it doesn't really detract from the space as most people on vacation are going out anyway. the owners (who are great!) are close by but give you space while at the same time being accessible should you need anything. I highly recommend this cottage for a getaway in any season.

“Great view!” Annie's Outlook had everything we needed for a lovely week in Maine. The kitchen was stocked and we cooked every day. The sunsets were amazing looking out on the bay. It was very quiet and perfect for our vacation.
